I took my 2009 HD sportster to the HD dealer to get a new tire installed. When I went to pick it up they told me it would not start and that they had charged the battery and installed a new relay and the bike still did not start. The bike was running perfect before I took it in. Brought it home on a trailer and changed the spark plugs and bought a new fully charged maintenance free battery and the bike still did not start. Don't know what to do. The only thing that works is the lights and horn. By the way it does click once when I try to start it.

Lots of bikes have been going into limp home safe mode. My only experience with a correction has been replacement of the hand grip actuators.

The master switch goes on driver side , regular switch on pasenger side , spray both with deoxit and lube window chanels with silicon spray .

Typically what happens is that one or more of the tire pressure sensors has gone bad in your valve stems.

Ask the dealer for the name & number of the manager of theregional Mercury Headquarters. They may give you the information right then or they may want to take care of the problem right there.
If for some reason they won't give you the information get that persons name and relay that along with your displeasure with the dealership. You can get the information from the web yourself or go to another Mercury dealer and get it.

contact the place where the tire was changed and let them know that they damaged the TPMS sensors. If they have a grain of integrity, they'll make it right.

Contact the Toyo company. toyota will not help you on this one. You need to check to see if there is unusual shredding or peeling or possibly chunks coming off the tires. That is what happened with mine at 14K miles and I am in the process of getting them replaced. Toyota service told me they thought it was normal wear. It was not. After I contacted Toyo, they told me to go to a toyo dealer and have them call the company back. They offered me 100% if I put the same A20 tire onthe vehicle and 70% (100% for unused spare) if I put the new Toyo HT. I chose the latter since it has a 60K mile warranty. What I also found out is the A20 tire is not the same one you can buy now. The new one is the A20A. The original A20 was made specifically for Toyota at their request as an OEM tire. Toyota should have some liability in this and I am fighting them for the 30% cost, but am not holding my breath they will help.

need to make sure the rotor are not warped and you do not have a bad drive axles and also be sure to check the fluid in the transmission and you do not have a bad tire on it.

Sounds like an ignition problem. Probably a fowled or damaged spark plug or lose or damaged spark plug lead. Try new spark plugs, I only recommend NGK and you may need to fit hotter plugs for cold weather riding. Plugs are cheap and thats the best place to start. 

once a were pattern is worn in tire s unless you rotate tires to the rear they will keep wearing you should rotate your tires every oil change especially if you do alot of around town driving i am willing to bet you that good year lied to you about the alignment i am sure the dealer put it into spec the first time you just need to rotate them a little more often

i had the alignment done about six months ago at the dealership. Would they have been able to align the car if something was bad? Not sure how they deemed the new tires bad, but they said they moved the tires from left to right and front to back and could control the shimmy and shake. this has went on for about a year. I dont believe the new tires the first time were bad, i believe the rim was bent. I dont know what to do. These tires have about 10000 miles on them, have been balanced twice, a rim was replaced due to them saying it was bent, but yet, the vibration starts at about 55 and gets worse as you gain speed. Can even feel it in the passenger seat in the front as well. Steering wheel shakes. You can actually see your hand shake while you are driving it, but then at times, it seems to go away and start again. Thanks for any suggestions.
