I have a 94 Chevy C1500 and the right side brake light and blinker are not working. The tail light and reverse light work though, and the right front blinker works but it blinks twice as fast as it should. All of the left side brake and blinkers work fine. I replaced the bulb, tail light circuit board, and tried a flasher from another Chevy truck that I know was working and still there was no change. What could it be?

It could be a bad multifunction (turn signal) switch. The way that switch works, it is possible that it can turn on the front blinker and not the rear one. It also cancels the brake circuit so the turn signal can work with the brake pedal depressed.

However, a more likely cause would be a break in the YELLOW/BROWN wire at the rear of the truck. It is common for the connector to get corroded at the left rear frame area where the bed harness connects to the vehicle harness. If you have trailer connections spliced into the wiring harness, these connections are also prime candidates for corrosion. I would look there first. Inspect these harnesses thoroughly all the way up and into the tail light assembly.

If the wires under the back of the truck look good, then I would check for power coming out of the turn signal switch. The wire at the turn signal switch is plain YELLOW (with no brown tracer). It is Pin (M) on the turn signal switch connector. The front signal is a LIGHT BLUE wire at the turn signal switch Pin (H). If you probe these with a test lamp, they should both work the same except the yellow wire will be hot with the brake pedal depressed and the switch NOT in the left turn position. If there is no power at the switch connector, replace the switch.

NOTE: When I say to check for power at the turn signal switch connector, I mean to check it with the connector connected to the switch - DO NOT unplug it to make these tests. It may be difficult to get a test lamp probe into the back of the connector and make contact with the pins. You can make a "back-probing pin" by using a paper clip to make the connection and connecting the test lamp to the paper clip.

Well its blinking fast to tell you the rear lamp is out. if you already tried to replace it with no luck try to first take a small flathead screwdriver and make sure the contacts are not corroded and make sure they are making contact with the bulb and if they are check the line and make sure there are not any broken or loose wires

The tail light, brake light and the back blinker on right hand side is not working on my ml320cd 2008 also the brake light on the left side not working too

So your taillights should have 2 bulbs in them. 1 that turns on when you turn your lights on and stays on until you turn them off. That same bulb should have a 2nd circuit that lights up when you press on your brakes. The 2nd bulb appears when your reverse gear is engaged. So if you have no lights on right you have to replace both bulbs and if you have no brake light on the left you just have to replace your rear brake light bulb.

Check your brake light switch located under the dash on the top of your brake pedal, also it could be a broken tail or brake lite bulb.

Hi....
On chevy .
Your problem is Mising ground. or poor groumd to the Tail lights.
First Check all the grounds on the engine compartment.
Near the BATTERY and the fenders wall.
If you found any one damaged Reapair as need.

But if everything is OK...
Check the connections of the Tail lights Under the BED of the truck.
If you found evrything good.

REmove Any of the Tail lights. APPLY GROUND at the BLACK wire of the Tail light connector and see if make any different. If the lights work ok. you can LEAVE with the Ground.
Or try to find where is the wire cut. or in missconntact.

OK... I hope this help to try resolve your problem.

Thank you for use fixya...
