You can do a compression test and compare the two bikes. If compression is low, check again but pour in a teaspoon of 20/50 motor oil into the spark plug hole before testing. If the compression goes up then you can suspect the piston rings are causing a loss of compression. Instructions for head removal are on Utube.com. You will need to inspect the piston and cylinder for wear to determine what parts will be needed for repair. Low compression can be felt at the kick starter too; how much compression do you have to overcome to turn engine over

What causes white smoke to come from the tail pipe with strong fumes while in idle?

A heavy presence of white smoke from the tail pipe is usually caused by a bad headgasket. If this gasket is bad, the vehicle may run rough as well as overheat.

Leaking car and smoking while idling after driven

If smoke comming from tail pipe then the valve seals r leaking if from under the hood then the valve pan seals r leaking on to the exost manafold and thebpil is then burrning off if tail pipe then it means motor work if under the hood then just replace the gaskets for the valve pans and the leaking/smoking should stop

I have a 98 Park Ave 3800 appx 150,000 Mi.. Recently had bluish tail pipe smoke when parked. Radiator nearly Dry. Oil looks a tad overfull. Actron OBD II Scan Code P 0306 with out engine running. Need

Your vehicle is plenty old enough to smoke (ha, ha), and mileage that high could account for it smoking. I'd take the shot on driving it to the mechanic (but then I am a praying man, and that would be my very first step).

Car has white smoke coming from tail pipe

sounds like a blown head gasket letting coolant get injected into the engine and getting burned with the fuel. a head gasket replacement should help

Constant smoke from tail pipe.

If its smoking that bad you should be able to tell if its oil or antifreeze by the smell, stand behind the car as its running, if its white and you smell a sweet smell its antifreeze if its blue and smells like a oil refinery its oil.
