I have a 450 X torq and it runs at high speed and wont idle down dealer told me it wasnt in the adjustment that is probably a seal on the crank. Has anyone had this problem

The dealer could well be correct, if a two stroke engine has an air leak through a seal or gasket, it will draw air through here and not through the carb, this in turn will weaken off the mixture and cause high running at idle, there are other reasons, like the throttle flap is not closing properley, or the throttle cable is not correctly seated, remove the top cover and turn the throttle shaft manually to the idle position.

Describe your "Chain Saw -

A couple of things too check here, remove the air filter and clean, remove the spark arrester gauze in the top of the muffler, it is held with a single screw, once the screw is out pull the tab to the side and out, this gauze should be clear and not full of carbon, clen or leave out.

Husqvarna 51 idle seems to struggle, runs OK when I throttle then chokes and dies out as soon as the throttle is released. What can I do?

will it start right back up after it dies? you could use a small screwdriver and turn the idle screw in a little to raise the idle speed that should fix it.

I have a new hasky 460 rancher stalls when given

If it stumbles at full throttle, the fast (high) idle screw is set too rich. Using your owner's manual, locate the high idle adjustment and back it off in very very small increments. Do this until the saw will run wide open without stumbling.

Carb adjustments/ rule of thumb

Assuming that the adjustment screws 'H' and 'L' have slotted heads, turn both CW to stops (lightly), then back out CCW 1-1/2 turns each. This is a basic setting and the engine should start and run. Allow to warm up, then pull the throttle full on. Turn H CW until the engine starts to speed-up, but still 4-stroking. Proper adjustment is when the engine 4-strokes, but immediately 2-strokes when cutting. Release the throttle and adjust L CW for fairly smooth running, yet allows the engine to 'follow the throttle'. Adjust idle speed so that the chain stops turning, but the engine keeps running.

Can't set carb. on Husqvarna chainsaw.

Most chainsaws and small engines are 1.5 turns out.

You need to set the mixtures for the carburetor. You will find a Low and High adjustment screw. At idle turn the screw in or clockwise until the rps starts to decrease. Then start turning it out till you hit max idle rpms. Turn screw back in a quarter to half turn and it should be idling smoothly. Be careful here and get someone to hold saw if necessary but hold in throttle to full speed and do the same with high adjustment screw. turn it in till rpm starts to drop then back it out until you get to max rpm and it won't go any higher then turn it back in a half a turn.

Husqvarna 345 wont idle, let off the throttle and it dies promptly

it sounds like you need to adjust your idle screw. you should be able to turn it clockwise 1/2 to 1 full turn to make it idle correctly. let me know if you need any more help with this
