Dealership told me the horn opening faces upward and eventually collects water that rusts or shorts out the horn. I bought two (higher and lower sound) horns and am in process of replacing them.

Hello. Horn in 03 Monte Carlo isn't working. Replaced both fuse and relay. Removed and checked the horn and it still sounds but no results. Please help.

Find a facility with a scan tool that can access the Body Control Module. They will need to look at the data. Ideally the scan tool will have bi-directional control. You should be able to watch the horn be pressed via the scan tool in the Body Control Module. If you can see it is pressed, but no horn sound, try to operate the horn via the scan tool. GM supports this functionality test. If the horn does not operate, check the horn relay. It could be a broken wire between the BCM and the fuse box, or between the horn contact switch and the BCM.

1997 monte carlo. 3rd brake light works, but tail lamp brake lights do not.

The 3rd brake light working does reveal that the fuse is good, and the brake switch is good. Check the bulbs, sockets, and the wiring between the brake lights
