either you have a bad battery(bad cell) or you need to clean you battery terminals. Clean both end of the positive and negative cables. If these are dirty or corroded it will act like a bad battery. Do this first since it is a free to do, plus it may save you from future problems. Then before you buy a new battery, see if jumping it. If it starts then you need a new battery.

Your fuel pump is vacuum operated, I would look for a crack in the rubber somewhere. Also, the side stand, the bike will start with it down, but will shut off the second you put it in gear. I have a 2002 S4.
Testimonial: "sidest. switch OK. Short wiring pump doesn't make it run! Emptied tank, found a loose part with o-ring seal on the bottom. Dealer tomorrow "

Is the kill button on? Is it in gear? How about that kickstand? Are the terminals clean? How about the battery? Is it dead? Is it a gel battery, lays on its side? Did you put it in? I had to mix the gel with my new battery, and then charge it overnight. 2002 S4

If the battery is up, and the key is the right one, nobody messed with the disabler system, kick stand up? Bike in gear? Check the ignition relay, make sure bolts are tight, not corroded, check battery terminals, check water in battery, if it has water, check the wire to the starter, not corroded, broken, and the last place to look, if it hasn't started yet, is behind the headlight , there is a plastic case full of wires, it gets wet and corrodes, check it out, it would be the last place to look.
