Question about 2007 Yamaha YZF-R1
Clutch does not go bad. It just wears out. And the indication is that your bike will not accelerate as much as the throttle you apply. The engine keeps running, and you cant get the pickup that it had earlier. You feel that the clutch lever is pressed and hence the bike is not responding as much as the gas you are burning. It results in more gas consumption. You can keep adjusting the clutch lever, and ultimately, the limit would be reached when you cant tighten the lever any more. Time to replace the clutch plate/s.
And when the clutch plate/s is/are completely worn out, the bike will not move forward. it will just rev up static.
