Question about Honda VT 1100 C Motorcycles
If you have switched from pure gasoline to ethanol try adjusting the idle screw (black plastic knob) under the carburetors. If you turn the knob clockwise it will raise the idle. If you drive for a while and the idle is now too high , turn the knob counter-clockwise a lower the idle. A shock dose (as described on the bottle) of Chevron Techron may clean up minor carburetor deposits, but if the idle adjustment and the fuel system cleaner do not work, then you will have to take the carburetors off and clean them. Remove the bowl and the jets and shoot carburetor cleaner through the jets and the passageways through the carburetor body to clear out any blockage. This should restore a proper idle.
