Sounds like the electrical portion of the ignition switch. Check battery connections to switch first, if all tight, more than likely the switch is going out.

Starter stay on without pushing button

It sounds as if the starter solenoid is stuck or siezed keeping the starter's gear in contact with the flywheel. The starter solenoid needs to be repaired soon or the starer motor will be damaged.

I have a 2002 heritage softtail, I replaced the batt friday. the batt is fully charge. When i turn the ignition on all the lights work the horn works all turn signals work and fuel pump comes on, however...

2004 harley heritage softtail. Battery dead.

Battery is under seat, either 8 or 10mm wrench to remove terminal nuts. Be careful with cables.

Harly davidson heritage softtail

many things can cause this ,if you change your seating postion ( lean forward / move backwards does it go away?....

front forks loose at triple tree,
new front / rear tire more aggressive tread than before,
front wheel loose,
worn head bearings,
bent rim,
loose spokes if any,
wrong tire pressures,
loose handle bars
,some new addition to change the handling of the bike , rear seat rest etc,

Oil drain plug

Its at the back of crank box right hand side of bike attached to bottom of frame in a sprung clamp just before the softtail swingarm- black hose with a plug and hose clip
