Did you replace the clutch pressure disc? Unfortunately a clutch pressure plate instead of a set of clutch springs will often be the cause of slippage under load . Talk to the dealer to see if there is a heavier clutch pressure plate or at least a new one. Some customers complain about slipping clutches when they use Yamaha synthetic. You may have too slippery of an oil in your machine for the clutch. Perhaps Castrol synthetic (JASO MA RATED) for motor cycles or Rotella T Synthetic or regular oil (Both JASO MA Rated) would be a better choice if it is an oil issue.

I have a 2004 yamaha midnite roadstar silverado i notice that front wheel axle is hollow all the way across from fork to fork on front wheel is that normal

The axle looks pretty solid to me. I have NEVER seen a hollow axle. This sounds like one of those "Trick" items that is supposed to make the bike lighter and faster (and more prone to crash due to a weak axle). For safety reasons I would get a new axle.

Can I get a “very helpful” rating on this answer? < And it doesn’t cost anything extra!
