Question about Honda CR 125 R Motorcycles

It's a cr 125 not a cr125r.......I need to find out why it's locked in gear an how do I get it out of gear? If I replace the left crank case do I also have to replace the right one as well?

Normally a locked up tranny is due to a badly bent shift fork. Did the bike crash on the shifter side? My guess is that it did and the left center case cracked or broke open at the same time. All center cases are matched sets. In theory you should be able to just replace the left with no problem. In practice, the two halves never seem to align properly. Yes, they may bolt together, but the mis-alignment causes the shafts to bind up; the shafts won't turn. That is why a matched set is needed. Please rate my answer. Thanks.

I have a Honda cr 125 2002 the crank locked up so I split the cases on it is it critical the the tranny gear be lined up as when they where before the cases was split (the gears or in correct order and...


It only needs to be in neutral. Nothing else to line up. I'd be more concerned as to why the crank locked up, ie seized bearings broken gear, seize piston etc. Have you already identified the problem?

Needs a new crank and crankcase lefthand side


You have a couple of options. Have a professional welding shop weld the aluminum case and then all that is left to do is to replace the seal on the output shaft. This will probably cost about $50.00.

Second option would be to Google " motorcycle salvage honda " and find what you need there. If you replace the broken left casing, also replace the right center casing. Slight changes in manufacture during a production run sometimes occur. This means the casing halves may not line up perfectly causing the shafts not to turn when the engine id put back together. ALWAYS replace center casings as a matched set.

Cr125r 2001 cant start after changing piston and cylinder


hi mate you need to adjust the float if theres to much fuel going through you need to take the float out and adjust it to the manual specifications but remember slot the pin out and take the float out but watch the little valve which stops the fuel where the little valve is hanging from that is the part you need to adjust
