Sounds like you've got a short in your right turn signal wiring. You need to check out the switch and the wiring between the power source for the switch and the turn signal canceling unit.

Good Luck

My 2005 Ultra has a similar problem: the 15amp accessory fuse blows, taking out brake lights, blinkers, horn, lighter, speedometer and tachometer. I have yet to discover what is causing it and have not been able to associate it with any particular function (i.e. turning on a signal, applying brakes, etc.).

Trying to solve an electrical problem when you've got the bike right there in front of you is difficult enough but for me to sit here and try to do it over a computer is impossible. The only suggestion that I can give you is to disconnect everything that is on that circuit. Then put in a new fuse and start reconnecting each item one at the time. When the fuse blows, look at the last thing you reconnected. If you cannot disconnect everything, disconnect what you can and work with the rest as best as you can. Do not go to a larger fuse. The fuse is designed to protect the wiring in your bike. By installing a larger value fuse, it may not blow and instead the wires in that circuit will overheat and burn. Then you WILL have a mess on that Ultra. A schematic of the bike would be helpful in that it may show where the connectors are located. There is a turn signal cancelling module located on the bike somewhere. Each model is different and even some year models have the TSM located in different locations. Harley seems to love moving that stuff around. I wished I could offer a better suggestion but that's all I got. I do not work on the later model bikes equipped with the Twin Cam engines. I am an independant mechanic and I work on the stuff that the Harley shop won't like the old Shovelhead powered machines. I do work on Evolution machines as well up to 1999 non-fuel injected. Since I have all I can do with those, I have never learned the later model bikes. I don't know if there is anyone else on this forum with late model experience.

My accessory fuse blows on my 2005 harley davidson electra glide?

Hi, Richard you have a dead short which is usually the easiest to find. Using a test light connected to the hot side of the blown fuse holder, start probing the wire leaving the fuse holder about an inch away the test light should illuminate, keep probing towards the ignition switch until the test light no longer illuminates you are now very close to the short. My 2005 matrix keeps blowing 15amp rear running light fuse every time light get turned on all other lights work fine.whats causing this?

fuses blow because of dead shorts or excess current draw
to blow a 15 amp fuse indicates a dead short
by disconnecting the rear lights , the problem is in something else you have replaced
could be a problem in the head light wiring

I have a 2005 land rover freelander in the engine fuse box the f3 fuse keeps blowing 15amp you start the truck go down the road fuse blows it starts runing ruff stop turn off truck then try to start wont...

15 amp is a fair current draw and for it to blow after a few minutes means that there is a short in that circuit that is allowing a drain to earth that just exceeds the 15 amp. It is in the ignition part of the system and may be a bad connection ( water ) or a problem appearing in the ECM or relay . Run fault codes to find the area of the fault. Because it is taking time to blow the fuse, it will be difficult to find. Check all wiring for rub marks .

I have a 02 electral glide ultra classic that keeps blowing the accessories fuse. as soon as i put a new 15 amp fuse in it blows. turn signals, brake lights and the spped odometer stop working.

In this case, you're going to need a wiring schematic to trouble shoot the problem. You'll have to disconnect the power lead to each device that the fuse provides power to. Then, replace the fuse and start reconnecting the devices one at the time. When you connect a device and the fuse blows, you have found the problem. I do not have schematics for bikes newer than 1999, I'm sorry.

Good Luck

I keep blowing the accessory fuse on my electra glide

I'd say that you have an intermittant short somewhere. These are very difficult to find. I'd start at the tail light assembly as most of the time, I've found the shorts in that area, from the seat back to the tail light assembly.

Passat Indicators Blowing Fuses 2005 model

It sure sounds like a short in the left signal circuit. I can't say where the wires are routed but you may have one with failed insulation or pinched under some hardware.
You could avoid repeated fuse replacement if you buy a cheap digital multimeter from Radio Shack (if you are in the US) or alternately, from an auto parts store. One adequate for this would be under $20 US. Some have a continuity checker that sounds a 'chime' that stops when the resistance level rises a bit. Since the meter could be damaged if the short clears, it would be smart to disconnect the negative side (ground) of the battery. Putting the probes across the fuse contact will simulate the fuse for this checking but it will not let your signals function. I would punch the probes into the fuse holder, put on the left turn signal and start removing bulbs and checking the routing of the wiring. When the chime stops, you have found the culprit.
