The only reason this would happen is the cables are being pulled somehow.

Either you missed something with the reroutung, and need to try again, or the cables are adjusted too tight, or the cables are too short.

SOURCE: replace handle bars on a 2006 HarleyDavidson RoadKing

I added a 2 inch riser to my dyna and didnt have to replace any cables, so - to answer your question, not always. There is plenty of wiggle room, however, if there is gonna be more difference that about 2 inches, replacement will be required. ADJUSTMENT WILL DEFINITELY be needed. And no, its not difficult, when u have the bars off, its nearly 1/2 done anyway

How to replace throttle cable on the handle bar end

from my old motorcycling days. Unscrew the two screws that hold the fat end of the throttle, and when they split you will see a ball or small cylinder attached to the wire. Slip this out and either rethread a new and lubricated inner cable or pull the cable outer from the socket under the throttle and replace both. I would advise against using the screw down nipple connector as shown in the thumbnail image as they always pull out in time. Good to keep one in your riding jacket though for a quick roadside fix..

Hi rpms when starting and staying hi while riding

try rerouting the throttle cable, could be making it jam up if it has a tight bend, if not this, then check your inside throttle cable, sounds like it might have a couple of broken wires and they are jamming inside the outer cable, or the outer cable could be bent.

High idle how do I adjust the idle down?

This is the REAR carb.

Item #42 is the idle speed adjuster.

When the engine revs just by turning the handlebars this is the routing of the throttle cables hanging up, and pulling on the cables when you turn the bars....reroute cables!

2001 yamaha ttr 125 when started it runs at full throttle without me touching the throttle

I would check the throttle adjustment screw on the throttle assembly on handle bars. Be sure it is not screwed all the way in for max throttle. You can also check the carb and be sure that the idle screw is not adjusted for high idle as well. There may be an adjustment screw on carb for the cable stop.

Need to find out how to fix the throttle! I push the throttle in but it won't swing back into place! My 10yr old is putting the motor into a scooter!

To make a throttle cable or any cable you have to have both ends fixed to the same bar. IT cutter shaft mount bar mower handles etc otherwise the inner won't move as when you push the throttle the outer moves and not the inner.. By you video you need to fix this first.

Motorcycle revs up when handle bars are turned

What kind of motorcycle is it? does it use 2 cables? if so, the idle cable is probably too tight. there should be an 1/8 in free play when bars are straight. the throttle should snap back after u turn it wide open and let go in all positions.

I need a diagram for the throttle connection to the trigger in handle of a poulan pp3516avx chain saw

Sorry there are no diagrams of how it fits, there is a parts list that shows the cable, as far as i remember the end of the inner cable has a dog leg in it, that hooks into the trigger, and the outer cable is secured in the right hand handle half, once the other half is assembled it stops it from popping out, the other end also has a dog leg this hooks into the throttle spindle, and the outer is secured in the air filter houseing.

1995 xjr400 throttle sticks open and will slowly close on its own if allowed. already loosened bar end and replaced grips but not any better. any ideas?

they can stick in a number of places.
You may need to dissassemble the hand throttle assembly
Make sure the plastic twist grip turns freely on the handle bar.
Check the new grip doesnt push against the throttle switch assembly.
Check the cables move freely
Check the cables dont have any frayed ends
check the cables arnt missing any of the plastic outer cover
check the cables a routed correctly and dont get jammed or pulled turning lock to lock
