Question about 2007 Yamaha V Star Classic

First inspect all hoses and fittings on carb and intake manifolds to heads to ensure you have no vacuum leaks drawing in air...leaning out the mixture.
Has the bike sat over winter? Pretty common for stored bikes to have varnish plug up the small orifices in the carb...and they affect idle. A product like Seafoam added to fuel tank and running the bike to get the treated fuel in the carbs and letting it sit a day may start dissolving the deposits.
