So you've tested a spare spark plug sitting outside grounded to cylinder and you defintely have good spark?
If so....is it getting fuel? Is the enricher (choke) working?l

and it is burng the fuel as its smokeg from the exhurst but jusy wont start?

Any chance the timing is incorrect...not sure on your model...but the sensor to trigger the ignition perhaps bent so timing is off?
No chance a bad intake leak....on the manifold...or crank seals leaning out the mixture?

Are you getting a spark?
if so then check/clean your carb
if you have done this then remove the spark plug and put you finger in the hole in the head and try to kick start the bike are you getting compression? when you kick the bike you finger should be sucked into the hole.if this dosnt happen then the piston ring has gone needs repalcing
if you have done all this and there no spark then check the magneto for rust and that the sensor hasnt gone o/c if there is rust on there clean the pads with a piece of sand paper(GENTLY)
if there is spark and it wont start then check the air box also while i think of it the fuel ratio should be 32:1 thats 32 parts fuel to 2 parts oil

the thing with 2 stroke engines is they need fuel air and spark and they work

Hope this helps

have you tried sparying inside the air box with easy start to see if the bike will actually start?
noticed that you said that the bike has got new piston rings etc did it start before you did all this work?

Kawasaki zxr 750 Bad Coils or CDI??

Rarely will both coils fail. Try disconnecting blk wire with yellow stripe from cdi. Check fire again, if fire is good you !likely have a bad ign switch. If there is still no fire, you will need to test trigger, stater. Also remember the can position senor. Test denser to specs. If cambsenser can't tell cdi where number 1 piston is, there will be no fire. Let me know how it works out for you.

fyi, something to watch out for on those is bad crank seals. will allow a lot of air in and cause the engine self destruct. before the cdi try simpler things like coil and making sure all the wiring is right. good pickup coil.

Hi, before you spend your money, try to switch ignition coils betwen cilinders; if the now dead cilinder starts to roar , then you'll be sure that you have one dead ignition coil wich is cheaper than a cdi.
good luck

Does cdi affect ignition in pulsar 150

yes the cdi is most importing.the starter coil supply electricity to cdi then cdi forward electricity to high tension coil, and high tension coil forward the electricity to spark plug, spark plug give more fire to piston.cdi not only supply only electricity, cdi adjust the electricity and control the power.ok?

My Rm 250 wont spark need to know the volts from stator to cdi plug. Got brand new cdi, stator , rotor and pick up coil but it still wont spark.

The Voltage From The Stator To The CDI Should Be Around 40 Volts(AC) At Cranking Speed. Be Sure Your Meter Is Set For (AC) Not (DC). The CDI Changes The (AC) Input Voltage To (DC) Output Voltage To The Primary Terminal At The Coil. An Electrical Shock Hazard Exist If Stator Voltage Is Checked With Engine Running. Always Perform This Test At Cranking Speed (R.P.M.) For SAFETY. 120 Volts (AC) Can Be Present With Engine Running.

1996 zx11 getting sprk to one bank only

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

The voltage on the green wire must be pulsating when cranking/starting the bike, not steady. Confirm by similarly testing the voltage on the black wire on the left ignition coil. If the green still reads a constant voltage, then the CDI is faulty; to be more specific, most likely that the switching tansistor inside the CDI that drives the right ignition coil has shorted.

Good luck and thank you for asking FixYa.
