When i passed an traffic threshold, the engine stopt sometime immiddiately. Last time I was not able to start the engine again. Do the Honda Golwin have a electrical security system that blocks the engine by such kind of impact?

Resolder the electrical joints around the starter relay. If they go dry it can cut out the engine and will only start again after a few minutes. Once you turn the key, wait for the fuel pump to prime as this can also stop the engine from starting as the ECU knows that it hasn't been given enough time to prime the filter.

Hi... I bought a new Honda *** April 2010 - last year. For the past 6 months i am facing terrible trouble starting my ***. Self Start s completely down. Only option is to Kick start which also fails a lot...

have you change your spark plug? if no better change. increase idle rpm of your carburetor a little bit so that it will not stop on heavy traffic.

I have a engine light Code P 0420, please tell me how to fix this & what is this. Its 2000 Honda Civic Ex $ door Sedan

Your Honda is probably very high on mileage. The P0420 code indicates that the catalyst system is operating below the efficiency threshold. In English, your sensors are telling your ECU that the catalyst in the catalytic converter is worn out. A new catalytic converter is going to be big $$$.

It is not going to disable your car, but if you live in a state requiring emission testing to pass inspection, your car will probably not pass the next inspection.

You can get a code reader (the Actron CP9575 or CP9175; both work well for less than $150.00 USD) from most auto parts stores or Sears and try clearing the code. In all liklihood, clearing the code this way will not fix the problem and the CEL will illuminate again.

I have 1992 Honda Accord (exr). The check engine light comed on sometimes mostly in the morning. And it didn't pass aircare. The problem code is 43. I changed O2 sensor spark plugs. It passed aircare....

did you replace your pcv valve? you should also change your air filter. that shoudl do it. be aware , sometimes it takes a few DIFFERENT types of engine conditions to reset the computer. sometimes the engine has to reach a certaain temp and maintain (at some interval) , then be turned off for a certain duration of time to reset.

My car sometimes turnes off suddenly during

I had the same problem on my 1999 Honda Accord 4 cyl. It was the ignition switch. I received a letter from Honda regarding a recall on the ignition switch and had it replaced. 3 years after replacement it would turn off again & this time I purchased part from eBaby & replaced it myself. It hasn’t stalled since.

The "red engine light"? I'm not familiar with this. I know there is a red oil pressure light on the dash. If you "engine stop switch" is in the off position, this light will not light up on most models. This should disable your starter as well if I'm correct. Still, if the ignition switch is on, engine not running, and the oil light is not illuminated, check the "run-stop" switch on your handlebar controls.

Check engine light

this happened to me. 99% of the time my check engine light, when it came on, meant my 02 sensor. the last time it came on, my car was sputtering and going bonkers! i freaked out and took it to my honda specialist, crying my eyes out. i'm a wimp. anyway, it was my idle air control valve. VERY cheap fix. you'll still have to have the codes on it but that could very well be it. I have a 1997 accord, basically the same car.

good luck!

Cranks as though battery is dying

That sounds like your alternator might need to be replaced.
