if it is water cooled check for mud in the radiator fins. If air cooled check fpr mud at the base of the head and barrel fins. You may need a compression test to see if there is a head gasket problem if water cooled .

Sounds like water / oil emulsification. Is your bike water cooled or air cooled? If it's water cooled then you may have a gasket leak. If it's air cooled then you may not be riding the bike enough to get a good temp up inside the engine which would drive off the condensation inside the crank case / sump thereby leading to the emulsification. You say you rode an easy mile - certainly that's not enough to get the temp up enough to drive off the water. Was the bike running ok? Was it accelerating and braking ok? If so then try a cautious longer run and keep an eye on your levels. If in doubt consult a bike shop.

Have you checked the plug wires and the ignition coil or a heating issue of getting to hot. Car gets to hot with not enough water in system to keep engine cool can cause it to shut off.

1-Check plug wires and ignition coil

2-Check water in radiator for water level to be correct to cool car

3- Maybe the timing may be off

hope this may help you

Over heating within a mile

hi
this may because of the following reason
1.cooling fan-the cooling fan is not working so no cooling process is taking place.
1.this may be because of wire connecting the fan may be damaged.
2.the sensor sensing temperature and activates the fan may damaged.

2.the radiator ma be chocked and the cooling water flow may be reduced which reduces the heat transfer.
3. Due to the agening of the fan it may be reduced it speed please check the fan and replace if nesessary.

Heat over

Hi! well I need more info like over heating around town? riding in the country? how's the water level? what condition is the engine in? radaitor condition
I think it is water cooled and some times the fan on the bike does'ent come on so when it's over heating
is the fan on? if not then thats broble the problem. on water cooled bike's I have installed a on off switch for around town and it helps keep them cooler.
