Disconnect the coupling and check it for cracks. Check the seal and replace it. If that does not work, replace the coupling - this may require replacing the attached hoses as well.

Where do I spray starter fluid in an 05 chrysler pacifica..ran out of gas and hoping it will start with the spray..did put gas in

Remove the air intake from the air filter container to the throttle body. Use only a quick shot of starting fluid. Can you hear the fuel pump run? Power cycling the key should get fuel flowing and is safer than starting fluid.

The ignition hung up in the start position and was running and I could not remove the key. I had to disconnect the battery to cut it off. The key came out then.

Year/make/model?? Is this the first issue you have encountered with the ignition? Has it ever been hard to turn or felt sticky before? You can try another key. Sometimes a quick spray with WD-40 in the cylinder can help

My 20 gallon campbell hausfeld wont hold air.what could be the problem

Joe:

There is an air leak somewhere in either the tank connections or the hose connections. Look at the tank and find the tube that runs from the top of the compressor to the tank (usually a brass line). grab a spray bottle and fill it with a soapy solution (dish washing soap and water is fine). Disconnect the rubber air hose from the tank (at the quick disconnect) and start the compressor. Spray the dishwashing solution on the brass line end fittings at the compressor head and the tank connection, and the quick disconnect fitting and where the quick disconnect connects to the air tank. If you see bubbles being blown, that is where your leak is. Also connect the hose to the tank and check your hose for leaks with the soapy solution. Once you find where the leak is, you can tighten the fitting or replace the faulty gasket or hose.

I own a 1987 ford 150. Here is my problem I can start it when it's cold, but when she warms up the fuel injectors stop pumping gas and she shuts off. You can tell it's not getting gas.

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. Check that the battery cable connections are clean. Check for 12 volts to starter solenoid with the key in the start position. These things should be checked first then the ignition switch, starter and starter solenoid. Also check the fuel pressure which should be between 28-35 psi. If it’s low check fuel filter or fuel pump and if high then check the fuel pressure regulator. Check the valve on the fuel rail and make sure you aren't getting fuel. To check this let someone to crank the key while you depress the plunger in the middle of the valve with a small screwdriver. If it sprays fuel, pumps are working fine. Also check the pickup coil in the distributor. If it's not fine then it will get fuel to the rail but not the injectors. Please replace whichever has gone bad.

Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

Thanks
Rylee

The key will come out but the car will not turn off we had to let the car run out of gas and let the battery go dead to get it to turn off

If it is not a high security key, ie./ chipped, then you have a mechanical lock problem. A quick no hrm fix would be to spray in some WD-40 and turn the key many times to free up the mechanics of the switch. Do this with the battery disconnected. Turn the key full on and full off about thirty or forty times reconnect the battery and check it out.

Hope that is the easy cheap fix for you. Good luck. Let me know please.
