Go to this site for your exploded view. This particular page is for 1996 model but yours should be the same. You didn't specify whether you wanted a drawing of the rear brake control or the rear brake caliper. So. got to this page and select the drawing you want. Bike Bandit

Try to get a copy of parts schematic from the Mazda dealer for the rear brake parts . Check on line to see if that diagram is available on free download. Check the aftermarket brake spares to see if you can get a copy. Or buy a workshop manual for your car.from a auto spares shop.

2008 electra glide speedometer, turnsignal and brakelights not working

Hi Elizabeth, always check fuses and bulbs first for broken filaments. Then check the connection at the rear fender wiring harness, inspect for corroded, broken or loose pins. Use a dab of dielectric grease and repair as necessary. Check your brake relay if you have one , check your brake light switches for continuity, some models rear turn signals were single filament bulbs only, no running light. If all else fails get out your test light and start tracking the power wire from the harness connection. For a free wiring diagram please visit the website below and good luck:

I need the exact location of the break light switch on a 92 labaron 2.5

The brake light switch is mounted to the brake pedal bracket assembly, under the instrument panel. The stop lamp switch attached to the mounting bracket.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Unplug the two brake switch wiring harness connectors.
  3. Remove the wiring harness for the switch from the clip on the brake pedal bracket assembly. Remove the nut and washer from the switch and bracket assembly stud and remove the switch and bracket assembly. To install:
  1. Position the switch and bracket assembly to the brake pedal bracket assembly, then install the nut and lockwasher. Tighten the retaining nut for the bracket until finger-tight (loose enough to allow movement of the bracket).
  2. Attach the electrical wiring harness connectors and route the wire through the retainer clip.
  3. Push the switch forward (toward the front of the vehicle) as far as it will go (this will cause the brake pedal to move forward slightly).
  4. Gently pull backward (toward the rear of the vehicle) on the brake pedal until the pedal lever rests against the its stop. This will ratchet the switch back to its properly adjusted position.
  5. Tighten the switch and bracket assembly mounting bracket nut securely.

Need to know the torque specs for a rear wheel bearing on a 1999 monte carlo?

Hub & Bearing 3.8L engine Removal & Installation To Remove:

All W-body cars are equipped with sealed hub and bearing assemblies. The hub and bearing assemblies are not serviceable. If the assembly is damaged, the complete unit must be replaced.
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Raise and safely support the vehicle with jackstands.
  3. Remove the rear wheel and tire assembly.
  4. If equipped with rear disc brakes, remove the caliper, bracket and rotor.
  5. If equipped with rear drum brakes, remove the brake hose bracket and drum.
  6. If equipped, detach the ABS electrical harness.
  7. Unfasten the four hub/bearing-to-knuckle attaching bolts, then remove the hub/bearing assembly.
To Install:
  1. Install the hub/bearing assembly onto the knuckle. Install the four attaching bolts and tighten to 52 ft. lbs. (70 Nm).
  2. If equipped attach the ABS electrical harness.
  3. Install the rotor, caliper and bracket or drum and bracket, as applicable.
  4. Install the wheel and tire assembly.
  5. Carefully lower the vehicle.
  6. Connect the negative battery cable.

99 silhouette.all bulbs are in working order.right (not left) signal flashes fast when headlights are on and even worse when brakes depressed(lights on or off).also lights on both rears are real strange on...

I had similar symptoms - rapid flashing of directional when headlights on and brake depressed when making a left turn, both directional indicators in dash light dimly when brake depressed, "Check Traction Control System" indicator On even with ATC turned Off and "strange" indications in tail lights.

Check the pins in the connector at the Lamp Holder Assembly for your Rt. Tail Light for arcing and corrosion. (The female pin is in the vehicle harness connector and the male is part of the Lamp Holder Assembly.) If found, because the male connector is part of the Lamp Holder Assembly, you'll have to replace the Lamp Holder Assembly and the harness section coming in from the vehicle containing the female connector.

I just repaired this problem in the left tail light on my '01 van with a part from a '99 van I found at a local salvage yard.

I am looking for the wire under the rear of my 99 explorer to hook up the wiring harness for trailer or boat. HELP

From the factory there is an unused plug in the left brake light harness. You can get a tow light cable from Ford that's JUST for that, and its a 4 flat plug on the end. I 'found' mine in the compartment on the left where the jack is. Just peek in there with a light. It was still in the package. Otherwise call Ford, the thing plugs in and you route it down and there's a bracket to hold part of it under the bumper to an existing screw location.
-Cheers.
