Sound like it's time to get the carbs looked at.

It wouuld seem your float is bad, stuck, or not properly adjusted,; thus causing too much fuel to enter the cylnder

How do I replace a choke cable on my suzuki intruder 125 the lever moves fractionally but has no affect on the engine


have you tried adjusting it first where it connects to the handle should be a screw with a round nut on it pull back on this screw nut towards handle to remove is opposite

Where is the choke on a Suzuki marauder


Your choke is a pull out knob located under your tank; it is not a part of the carb. You might be able to trace the cable from the carb to the pull out knob.

Wont idle without choke on, pops and spits, front cylinder dose not seen to put ot as much exhaust (force comming out), chrcked timming(good), not sure if i adjusted valves right(set at .0003") like manual...


ur carbs need cleanin or ajustin-take it apart n soak-the idle jet is dirty n not gitten enuf gas and the choke is compensating-remember that ride is almost 14yrs!

1997 suzuki intruder 800 15,000 miles fuel leaking from rear bank exhaust, and drain hose will only stay running with choke on full.

Suspected problem with choke.


hey apparently and did are two different stories draining the float bowls and cleaning the carbs are two different things the fact that the choke dosent change suggest the carbs are stopped up after sitting for 1 year clean the carbs let them soak in carb cleaner and blow them out with high pressure air, keep notes of the adjustments befor you dissasemble them (air screws)
