I have been right through my workshop manual and there is no reference to speeds and revs.
It sounds about right to me as it is midway in the power band giving a good overall performance.
My bike, on the otherhand, revs to a maximum of 4500 RPM with max torq around 2200 RPM. Yes it's a very old Harley!

?suzuki gsx600f

It's likely a broken piston ring, worn out piston rings, or faulty valve seal(s)... However, it could easily be some other thing... like crankcase ventilation valves, lines or hoses...cracked block... I know.. I'm not being much help... but, a good mechanic can probably zero in on the problem...

if its only on 1 cyclinder and your sure the carb and sparks ok then the next step is to do a compression test to see if the fault lies with the engine, i.e. valves, rings etc,
