Question about Yamaha YZ 250 Motorcycles
That is the indication of an over rich mixture. The plug is now carboned up and needs a good clean or replacement before it will function again.
Was the choke by any means closed or partially closed when this happened? Is the air cleaner clean so that it is not restricting air flow or is the float not stuck so that the carburetter float level is too high in the float chamber.
Those are the normal things that would cause that condition.

After doing what hans has R'mended I would check your air/fuel screw usually 1.5 - 2 turns out is about right, & ensure for yz250 fuel premix of 35:1 found runs best. Also before fiddling with jetting etc test different brands of petrol, EG my yz250 would foul plugs every few hrs at ratio of 35:1 on Shell premium, but on Caltex vortex with the motoul 800 premix oil was perfect, smal plug 12 months now. U see the premium petrol has various detergents that help clean out injectors in cars & new 4 stroke bikes but on carb bikes U really need to find one that suits the bike. :-)
