This can be caused by a bad coolant temperature sensor, the cooling fan relay could be blown, or maybe your cooling fans are faulty.

"Dear Teddy B: After the car reaches a normal temperature, the radiator fan switch to HI speed even without using my AC. It should be switch back to LO speed sometime for a "brake" as long the temperature...

Check coolant levels to ensure they are full. Check for coolant leaks.

What you describe could be considered normal if you are driving in hot ambient temperatures with full coolants levels. Ensure you are using coolant liquid not water.

If fluid levels are full (rad and overflow bottle) and there are no leaks and the temperature gauge is not show engine it running hot; then the sensor that controls the fan(s) should be replaced.

Overheating gage when stop & go -2004 chevy tahoe

natural for engine temp to rise in Traffic - Until Themostat opens ) cooling fan sensor kicks on fan . But Antifreeze is not just a Cold weather item . Coolant is Absolutely Necessary for Hot Days . You must be full to recovery bottle setting of cold when checked prior to start up . Coolant for your make / model is Reddish - Pink colour and should have a reading of -25 thats negative 25 degrees the Lower the Better even - 50 .. Why ?? - 50 is 50 %% antifreeze / Coolant Concentrate MIX Gives Hot weather cooling Ability or very cold weather starting / winter HEAT .

Tempature is getting hot replaced thermestat

air pockets possibly or your fan is not kicking on. look for a bleeder valve for the coolant and bleed the system when its running, or leave the radiator cap off and let it run for a while then top off system.

Can a stuck therostat cause the radiator fan not to come on? I have disconected the wires and jumped them and the fan comes on. It is a 2000 model 1500 classic.

Yes as the senser is in the raditor and if the stat is stuck the raditor doesn't get hot and the fan doesn't come on. This bike is very hard to get full of coolant if it does get low. Top off the coolant and run the engine tilll hot then after its been shut off for a little while again try to add coolant if you add some do it again and again till you can't add any more. Then see if the stat opens and the raditor gets hot then finally hot enough to turn the fan on

Temperature is to high. the engine runs hot

ok you could have a few things happen here. when is last time you changed your coolant?? start there. next is your fan coming when it needs to?? let your bike idle and see if it kicks on if so let it go till it kicks off. it the fan is not working then your fan motor or temp switch could bad. next have you put aftermarket pipes on the but? if so have you jet the to run with the pipes? if not your running the motor "lean" and this will cause the bike to run hot.

Hi there.i have a problem with my bike.when the tempeture are come to 107 celcius, the bike suddenly engine shutdown.but if i drive straight without stop, the engine ok.please help me...

overheating is made worse when not getting moving air. Also if it got hot enough to stall the oil needs replacing too. make sure cooling system is clean and doing all it can (full of coolant) and the fan runs when hot enough to need it.There is a fan relay test it.

My cbr 929 honda is overheating how do i fix this problem

Check the coolant circuit that does not have air at all kept inside.
With the bike cold and the radiator cap open on the bike's kick stand start pressing again and again the coolant pipes and fill in coolant if you have to.Then start the bike without closing the radiator cap and keep pressing-releasing (like a sponge) the pipes until the radiator's lower pipe start getting hot. Then close the cap and wait with the engine running until you hear the radiator fan turn on.If you reach 227 F (108 C)and it hasn't start turn it off and check the temp switch on the radiator or the fan.
If the radiator's lower pipe never get's hot but the temp gauge shows you the temp reaching above 194 F (90 C) then you have a thermostat problem and you should check your cylinder head gasket too for compression failure.
