Why wont a/c clutch stay engaged

You dont have enough refrigerant in it. Go to wal-mart and by a recharge hose and a can of freon, If you do not have any leaks, and system is ok. Then by adding the proper amount of freon, should keep the a/c clutch from recycling. Good-Day! It will tell the proper way to fill it on the guage for the freon.

Runs but wont go into gear. Just grinds after feeling a thump.

if the bike only grabs gears with the rpm way up there is a chance the clutch is gone or just about. make sure the clutch is properly adjusted. Also if it is a wet clutch be sure you have the proper amount of the right oil. if there is super old oil in the clutch plates they wont grab.

89 goldwing wont take off when in gear

Clutch not engaging? If you have the bike in gear and engine not running...release the clutch you can still roll the bike? Can you feel proper tension on the clutch lever?

Clutch wont engage after new install

Maybe the clutch master cylinder is not building hydraulic pressure? The internal seals in it may not be holding. Watch the slave cylinder push the clutch lever while someone presses the clutch pedal. If travel is not enough and was bled properly, you may need a new master cylinder.

Cluth wont pump up no pressure

It sounds to me like they can't get the hydraulic clutch to build up pressure. Without pressure, the clutch will not engage. It's a very simple system, consisting of two major parts. The clutch master cylinder and clutch slave cylinder. Replacing both of them (recommended) would get you a good clutch pedal again. This is assuming, of course, the clutch installation was done properly with no problems.

Hi, Mathew you obviously assembled the clutch wrong or failed to do a proper clutch adjustment for this scenario you will need your service/owners manual if you can't find the first and best tool you ever bought for your Yamaha, despair not, for a mere $0 you can download another one. There is no compression in the clutch pedal also the motor runs okay but it wont engage the transmission

The mechanical linkage between the clutch-pedal and the actual clutch is not working.
Get the vehicle towed to a mechanic, for proper repair.

John deere 2010 tractor. pto grinds and wont engage

The PTO usually has a clutch that has to be engaged so that you can select the PTO rotation setting. I had a problem like that on my tractor and all it needed was a little adjustment on the PTO clutch lever, so it could disengage the PTO gearbox properly.
