Pulsar 180 engine heating very soon and sounds loud

Check the oil level. An oil change should be carried out anyway about every 6 months, and filter change every 12. All dependent on the amount of use it gets.

Modle not listed Honda Vision nfme 50 I have had My honda Vision 1986 model for around 18 month. It flew its last mot around 12 month ago. However About 4 month ago returning from work on my scooter...

Its either not getting fuel, poss blocked mainjet, or float needle valve, do you have a constant flow of fuel from the tank, is the bike smoking exsessivly, sounding quieter than it used to do? Maybe the exhaust has become blocked, this was a common factor on this bike, remove exhaust look up exhaust port towards piston, with the piston at the top clean the port with a sharp object scrapeing away all the unburned carbon, start bike up without exhaust and check how it runs,

Hi my cagiva mito has been stood 4 a few months i started it up went up the road in 1st gear now its stuck in gear and cant shift it in or out of gear does this mean il have 2 strip it??

No, first try and swap out your oil, oil lubricates the gears also in bikes. That is why it is very important to put synthetics in bikes. This should free it up a little if there were no issues before. This should be your first shot, it is the easiest. Then we can go from there, please rate my advice if you feel its helpful.

The gasoline need to be drained out, and new put in with some seafoam gas additive to hopefully help your fuel system cleaned up.
Fresh oil and filter.
Check the plugs.
Don't be surprised if the carb doesn't need cleaned inside.
Chatge up the battery, and give it a try

Bike stood for a couple of months started no problem pulled in clutch ngagad 1st bike lurched forward gear engaged despite clutch being in any ideas help plz

This is pretty normal if the bike has stood for some time. Basically, your clutch plates had stuck together. By engaging first, you have shocked them apart. After the initial 'lurch' all should be well. Run it around for a day or two, then change the oil.
If it continues to lurch, you may have to clean the clutch plates up. This is not a difficult job. Drain the oil, remove the clutch cover, remove the clutch bolts and springs and clean any gunk that is on them.

Hi i purchased a diora diamondback ladies roadbike 12 months ago and it is starting to rust where the headstem meets the forks. is this a problem with this bike? it is kept inside in my laundry with my...

  • The rust is only superficial and will in no way weaken the bike stucturally so dont worry about the frame being weaked. When the frame was painted there may have been a residue from the manufacturing process that was not removed prior to painting and this hasspellcheck.gif resulted in the weakness in the paint. If you are worried about it you could scrape back the rust spots and touch them up with a little primer then a dab of gloss. You can buy small ammounts of paint from a model shop or use metalic nail polish if a metalic finish. An alternative is to treat the spots with rust converter and spray the bad areas with WD40 and this should should protect it.

I just purchased a ktm 450 exc ....... I have just been on a 300km ride over 2 days. (I had oil done before I left even though I only had 135km on it) Looking at the sight glass re the engine oil it...

with the bike standing on it's wheels and held upright. Be sure to give the oil time to run through the crankcase when you stand it up. Next time you change oil, don't go by the bubble. Read your manual and measure out the correct amount to add.
