Why wont it go into gear ?

Clutch pack gone? Drive belt/chain/shaft gone? Since the clutch pack is inside, are you sure it's good? You may need to rebuild it... which, fortunately, you can do without dismounting the engine.

Why does starter spin but wont start engine

Hi, Anonymous the starter drive/Bendix is a mechanical gear driven component that engages the clutch pack ring gear to turn over the engine. It has an internal mechanism that allows the gear to turn in one direction and once the engine starts allows the drive gear to free spin. If gear free spins in both directions then the drive gear has failed it is not serviceable and needs to be replaced. Check the clutch lining and release bearing. Normally, you would also have to change the pilot bearings.

There is a weird grinding noise come from underneath my subaru. The sound seem to be coming from the fron passegner side, and stops when I apply brakes(even a slight touch of the brakes. Thak you.

jack up car on passengers side and see if tire is tight, it may be a bad wheel bearing. to check, see if there is any movement in tires. rotate the tire and see if noise is there. a way to check for a bad wheel bearing is to jack up tire, then apply emergency brake and put foot on brake start car and put it in gear ( foot on brake ).release the brake real slow and the tire will spin,do not give it gas, so you can tell if the bearings are bad. be careful not to let car lurch forward! if not the bearings. you may have a worn brake pad on that side etc. good-day !!

My 12 inch band saw throws the lower tire when the power is switched on. The model number is 11324350.

Tires need replaced- may have a few other problems. try this
-unplug the saw spin the saw by hand, does track down the middle of both tires? also look at your guides and backup bearings.
I would take off blade-back off all guides and bearings -clean off any build up on tires- replace blade. now spin wheel ( always spin with the blade going down) if its tracking good go ahead and adjust guides and bearings to specs and try again. most likely the back up bearings are out of adjustment. they should not spin unless you are feeding material and it seems like the bottom one may be your problem.
But never the less it sounds like new tires are needed.

It wont go into gear, we had to pull the transmission off to replace the release barring, and now that we put it all back together all of the gears are seized

loosen the bearing nuts, you still want them to spin after they are tight, dont torque them too much or they wont spin and you might damage a brand new bearing to worthless, also look into your clutch cable and make sure its adjusted correctly

Clutch wont disengage and i can push the car when

That burnt smell is what used to be your clutch disk, and you will need to replace the clutch before you will be able to drive that vehicle again. You should purchase a complete clutch kit for your vehicle, and it should come with a new pressure plate, clutch disk, throw-out/release bearing, a pilot bearing, and a clutch disk alignment tool, and be sure that the pilot bearing is replaced when that new clutch is installed.

I was riding my wr 250cc

Check the sprockets. Got a stick or rock binding the chain? Remove the chain. Does the wheel spin freely? Brake frozen?

Since your bike is water cooled, a seized piston is not too likely. Got water in the radiator? Most likely is a broken torsion spring on the kick start shaft. The adjacent ratchet wheel and the kick shaft should be inspected. The ratchet wheel should have a smooth movement. If not then replace it. The kick shaft should not show wear or damage. The same is true for the kick gear and idler gear. Replace as needed.

The only other possibilities are a frozen main bearing, (not likely), a broken or severely bent shift fork, (more likely than a main bearing).

Please rate this solution. Thanks!
