Question about kawasaki KX 250 F Motorcycles

Ii was riding it earlier and i shut it off then when i got back on it a went to kick it and the kicker was stuck it wouldnt kick. what could it be

The most common causes for this are a ceased piston (for instance, if there was an oil failure, the bike probably wouldn't have ceased until it was turned off) or if an internal bolt has gotten into the bottom end somewhere jamming the crank or kick mechanism itself.
Try removing the cylinders first, as that is the most likely cause of the failure.
If the piston is stuck in the cylinder, you may need to put a block of wood onto the piston and gently tap it out of the cylinder to effect repairs on the bike.
If the pistons come out of the cylinders without sticking, then having the cylinders removed will let you get a look into the crank area for loose bolts etc.
Don't forget to tie off the cam chain so it doesn't fall into the crank, because that's a pain to fish back out.
If you can't see anything wrong in the crank area, you will likely have to open up the bottom end to see what has gone wrong.
I wish I could be more help, but you didn't specify which bike you have.
If it's a 2 stroke, chances are the gas/oil mix was off or it ran out of 2 stroke oil and the piston ceased.

Hi,,sounds like the motor has seized. put it in a high gear and see if you can push start,,if the back wheel dosnt turn,,then your motor has seized,,if it does and the bike starts,then something is going on with the kickstarter gear.

Yz 426 while riding it i went to park it thought it was out of gear and let out on the clutch and it died went to start it back up and the kick start seemed to b stuck so i rocked it back and forth fi


How does the compression feel now that you have it cranking over again. Without the decompression lever pulled in it should be next to impossible to kick it over. also, is there any noise coming from the engine (knocking, etc.) when you got it to start again.

remove the cover that houses the kick starter and look for a failed return spring or some other reason that keeps the kick start dog engaged.

wont start, or you can't move the kick starter?
If it kicks easily, do a compression test.

77 fxe kicker slams back when started and the clutch is pulled in . replaced thrust bearing and the kicker gear stop was snapped off.. replaced and re assembled per shop manuel..?


all kick starter kicks back when starting just give it a little keck like just push dawn on the kick starter to wear it just turnes over 1once than jump on it than it should fire without kicking back but kick it hard or it will kick back

Amp goes into protection


make sure the impedance is right for the amp you're using. If you're using a 4ohm amp and a 2ohm sud that may be the problem. It may be overdriving the amplifer which is bad and can cause damage to the amp. Hope this helps.

sounds like the wiring in the speaker from the factory is shoty. rare but does happen. if you bought this from a retailer and have all of your warranty information id send it back and let em fix it

YZ not starting


I don't think this is a float issue. One way to check is to turn the gas off, take the bowl off the carb, hold the float up, and turn the gas back in. If fuel flows, the float needle is toast. It sounds suspiciosly like a worn topend, but it could also be a clogged jet ot fuel filter, or a faulty CDI.
