Time for a carb rebuild, it's either a leaky float, which is sinking or the float seal has gone bad and needs replacing.

Where are the fuel pumps on a 1982 ford f150

Well a 1982 model should have a carb, so there should be a mechanical fuel pump on the side of the block near the front.
Just follow the fuel line from the carb.
1985 was the first year for fuel injection on the 302 engine.

New fuel pump and fuel lines.. Ran like a champ for day... BUT

Are you saying you think it is getting too much fuel, or not enough ?
Could be the choke or something inside the carb.

I have a 1982 yahama 650 hard to start cold if you spray carb cleaner on a rag & cover the intake it will start & run. But you can crank & crank otherwise. It fires & runs for 10 to 15 secs...

There were a couple of different carbs fitted to this era of bike. One of them has a diaphramme that works a 'fuel pump' system and floods the carb as the throttle is opened. They will split and cause problems.

Fuel runs out the the right vent tube and breather hole when the engine is running. Disconnect the vac line from fuel tank and no leak. Is the vac fuel pump overpresuring the system? 1982 Suzuki GS750

The vacumn line only controls the flow from the fuel tap. When there is vacumn(motor running) the fuel will flow. It is not a pump and cannot pressurize the system. So when you remove the hose it effectively turns the fuel tap off.
If a carb is flooding , it is because the float valve is not sealing, either dirty, or it is damaged or worn. It is sometimes possible to stop it with a tap from the handle of a screwdriver etc on the carb bowl. but more than likely the carbs will need cleaning and servicing. and I have no idea why this answer is typing in italics

82 aspencade gl 1100 carbs keep flooding? i put them on buddys bike and they run great. so i changed fuel pumps, still flooding? whats left ?

It sounds to me you may have a vacum issue with your tank that is causing to much fuel to get deliverd to the carbs, try checking all the hoses on the tank to me sure they are in the correct place. If so then check the patcock to be sure that it is not allowing to much fuel through.
