ALL early gsxrs are noisy, even the watercooled ones.although the camchain tensioners DO fail as a rule!it would need changing by now,so it would be best to do it.hth,!

GSXR\'s are hard on camchains and if one is noisey in a watercooled gixxer then replace it. Check tensioner and guide. The tensioners have been known to occassionally fail so a heavier spring will help. Valve clearances should be checked as well.

Looking a the age, I would replace the chain as it will increase the performance and avoid engine damage plus quieten it down considerably.

GSXR 750 wp 1994 Judders at pulling off

There could be several reasons for this, firstly try changing you oil and filter and see if it improves. If it does then it is possible a problem with the friction plates being glazed or bent slightly. Check to see if the clutch slips. Also check other things like chain tension and sprocket wear. Whilst your there check the cussion drive rubbers for wear and loosness.
