Have you checked your coil pack and make sure you have correct spark to both cylinders

My honda cbr 600 f 1997 iv had the bike for about 2 weeks and it is running on 3 cylinders. I have felt the ehaust on tick over and it apear to be number 1. Any ideas on what it could be?

check spark plug, ht cap, ht lead, then its a case of checking fuel in carb, if fuel ok check jet in carb and slider rubber. if no fuel in carb check floats ok and no blockage of fuel entering carb.

Can you fit a cbr 1000 engine in a 2002 Honda CBR 600 F(4)I frame?@

Hi, Anonymous parts swapping is common with most motorcycles when it comes to interchangeable or compatible parts from one model with another the best thing to do is call your local Dealership Parts Department or a reputable independent shop. If your location is not near a shop then go online and find a parts catalog or "FICHE" and match part numbers depending on your criteria.

1988 Honda CBR 600 F Hurricane not getting fuel

Hi, Relampago361 you need to locate the fuel flow origin first to isolate the problem area otherwise the usual suspects are:
1. Fuel tank empty.
2. Fuel cap or fuel tank not venting properly.
3. Fuel filter clogged with rust or dirt.
4. Fuel valve not in the on or reserve position.
5. Vacuum line to fuel valve cracked, broken, pinched, or missing.
6. Fuel valve/petcock clogged or diaphragm cracked, cut or torn.
7. Fuel line from the fuel valve to the carburetor or fuel pump clogged, cracked, pinched, bent, broken, or missing.
8. Fuel pump not working.
9. Fuel line touching cylinder or head causing fuel to boil and vapor lock, repair by rerouting and wrapping line with convoluted tubing.
10. Carburetor inlet clogged.
11. Carburetor float or needle and seat stuck.
12. Carburetor not venting properly overflow line or bowl fitting clogged, pinched, or bent.

I don't know which spark plug wires go to which cylinders in my honda cbr 600 f3. Can you please tell me which ones are for which cylinders?

If you look on each plug lead, there should be a number 1, 2, 3 4.

Put them onto the relevant cylinders . !

1998 Honda CBR 600 F(3)W the 2 right cylinders are not firing

Hi, Chriscurling you need "FIVE" things in order for a cylinder to run properly:
1. FUEL: in order to validate your not getting fuel spray some starting fluid into the air cleaner and hit the starter button, if it fires up and runs for a few seconds then you know you have a fuel delivery issue. Multi carb banks should be bench "SYNC"
2. SPARK: remove the spark plug and with it connected to the spark plug cable ground the threads to something metal you should see a bluish white spark if not you have a faulty spark plug, spark plug cable, ignition coil, condenser, CKP, ECM, sensor or the wiring in between.
3. COMPRESSION: you must have at least 80-100 PSI for most bikes, multi-cylinder engines should be within 10-15% of each other if not perform a leak down test you may have a burnt or bent valve or hole in the piston or broken rings.
4. CAM TIMING: confirm your timing marks are aligned to see if the cam chain or adjuster are worn out and the chain has skipped a couple teeth.
5. IGNITION TIMING: on older bikes check to see if your points have not closed up, timing plate has not become loose and confirm with a timing light for proper retard and advance functions, on newer bikes where timing is controlled by an ECM and is nonadjustable check you CKP, TPS, MAP, O2, sensor or its counterpart for integrity.

It might be a good idea to flush everything out with clean oil. And maybe clean the oil filter. And clean the crankcase and stuff.
