Hi,,you will need to get some wire the same thickness as whats on there,,you will have to cut your wires and either solder or use bullet connectors to extend them the length you need.

I have a 2004 yamaha majesty 400 and my knees hit the handles when turning ? i would like to slide further back on the saddle but as you may but not possible. maybe someone out there has an idea

The only thing I could think of without hacking the seating area up is to, put some taller risers on your handle bars to raise them or buy a set of mini ape hangers. Mind you, if you go too Tall with the bars or real tall risers you may need to buy all new (Longer) cables for your controls. If it were me, I'd buy a bigger bike to fit my size and frame.

Wiring for briggs stratton 6 hp law mower

no need single non grounded wire from spark plug or follow plug wire to its base the may be a place for attachment then attach the other end to a non grounded switch wired to the frame (to frame this is a ground ) when wire is grounded to the frame or engine the spark plug will lose power and motor will stop un grounding will allow to restart this is ussualy done by the bar you hold down on the handle this is a by pass or help you understand how to rewire the handle but it may not be the wire but the handle or its cable or where the cable conncets i dont recomend children using machine after this has been done even with help this has made the machine more dangerous not to stop when you let go if using bypass

2005 sportster rotates but no start

Probably pinched wires under the controls or you skinned the insulation off of a wire while pulling them through the bars.

Sole F85 treadmill fan and hand controls not working

There may be two problems, however, I would suggest you replace the main display pcb. That will fix the fan problem. If the handle bar switches still do not function replaces the switch and wiring.

You turn the handle bars to the left the head lights turn off

Sounds like you have a short. The headlight and the tail light are on the same fuse as well as a few other lights. I'd look closely right where the main harness goes from the frame to the front end. There is a lot of flexing and movement in the wiring harness in that area. Look for wires that could have been rubbed by the fairing.

Good Luck

I have a 2007 1200 nightster. When I turn the ignition to the on position, it blows the ignition fuse. I have trouble shot it over and over. Changed the battery and all the fuses. I don't know what to do...

Now, this sounds like a short in your wiring, I worked on one of these bikes that the wiring harness rubbed against the frame under the left side cover, Blows a fuse and will blow the fuse intermittently or it may not today but 2 or 3 days from now riding it will blow the fuse again, Check the wiring harness the complete bike from head to tail. Look for a real close fit at any spot over/under the frame / covers then check the Insulation for a rub that may have rubbed bare any wires. Check all this. NOW, you still need to check any fuses and or wiring rubs or breaks in the wire, even check harness plugs and the metal tabs inside the plugs for burnt or hot spots. Metal tabs in the plugs can get hot then cool off due to a short and loose a connection. Blowing fuses like this is a good sign of a short in the main wiring. ie. battery, lights and or ign. to and from the handle bars and area. Look in this area for your problem. Look around the front forks and headlight area under the frame mounts. We need to check your battery connection- Follow the main battery wire from the battery to the start relay. In with the relay should be other wires and at least one fuse. Check these connections and any wires in/out for a good tight fit in the plug. Look closely for a loose wire or loose fit in this plug. Now this relay will have another wire that goes down to the starter. Look for the next largest wire out of this plug / relay follow that wire as best you can along the harness look at any other connections / plugs from the harness, even plastic ties to the frame that may be to tight. Pull this wire tug on it yank on it. Next check your key switch any wiring here should be a plug that you can un-plug and look at the wiring there.

I replaced the handlebars on my 81 yamaha 650 maxim. after that, the throttle won't completely engage the gears. it goes forward with a little gas, but if you open it up, the engine just revs and will not...

Chances are the new bars are a bit taller than the old bars. It sounds like the taller bars are making you stretch the clutch cable. No freeplay at all in the clutch lever, Right? If the clutch cable was not re-routed causing the stretch, the only thing you can do there is get shorter bars or get a longer cable from a similar bike or have a custom cable made at the shop. The blinkers is just an error in how the wiring was reconnected.

Can I get a “very helpful” rating on this answer?

My daughter wrecked on her Mongoose r2261wm and now the handlebars just spin. We can't see any obvious breaks or loose/missing bolts. We're thinking it must be something inside the fork where the bar goes...

There should be a bolt on the frame at the base of the handle bar stem. There should also be a bolt on the top of the handle bar stem. If these are both tight and secure. The odds are the expansion clamp that's connected to the base of the handle bar (part that goes into the frame) has broken.

Was riding 95 gsxr and my head lights went out

Had the same problem. There is a green plug in the wire harness situated under the tank on the left hand side of the frame. This plug tends to pick up corrotion. Try to unplug the two parts, if you have difficulty to unplug it this might just be your problem. Replacing the plug is the only solution. This plug connects the wiring from the light switch, to the lights. If you have difficulty tracing this plug, trace the wires back from the light switch on the handle bars.
