SOURCE: 97 suzuki marauder fork seals problem

Normally no. If the fork seals are leaking when you ratchet the front down on the trailer your seals were bad prior to that. If you are talking about the straps being wrapped around the forks the only thing that they would contact would be the dust covers. The fork seals are actually down inside the fork about 1/4 inch. My suzuki gz marauder won't go down into first or neutral..kick all way down but starts off in second gear..keep stalling at busy junctions.

The bike has a bent shift fork. The engine will need to be torn completely down to replace the bad fork. Check with a local Suzuki dealer as to the cost an to confirm what I believe the problem to be. I fear the cost will be over $700. Bummer. As to the engine stalling, cleaning he carb will probably fix the problem. Please rate my answer. Thanks.

Can i fit forks from a different bikes

Yes, forks can be swapped in some cases. First, the diameter of the replacement forks must be the same as the old forks. The length of the forks will need to be close to the original also. Often the entire wheel and brake assembly must change also because the brake hub from a Honda will not fit Suzuki forks. The speedometer may also be a factor because the old cable may not fit the new hub.

Try a salvage yard. Google " motorcycle salvage suzuki " and see what you can find/

Can I get a “very helpful” rating on this answer? < And it doesn’t cost anything extra!
