Freezer control setting does not stay on 0. Most of the time it creeps back up to 8 and stays there, but will sometimes hold at 1 for 24 hrs. Could this be an ice buildup blocking the fan?


id ck the coils on the bottom of unit for dust and stuff , also if its environmentally hot in the spot unit is in , eight might be the best it can do ? unless your doing science experiments with yours or freezing race clutches , I cant see why u want it so cold ? ,mine is set on 18 all the time , that's plenty cold , keeps deer meat all summer good !!

HiClutch not disengaging
Make sure cable has only a couple of mm play. If unable to adjust at handlebars then adjust at clutch endA quick & dramatic way to unseize clutches is to put front wheel up against a wall or similar, bike at 90 degrees to it, front brake on, with full riders weight on seat, in neutral hold clutch in & handlebars straight, rev her up to 3 - 4000rpm, brace your arms & dump her into 1st gearThe shock will generally free-up even a completely seized clutchThe other option is to strip & clean the clutch plates

Get car oil out - friction reducing properties ruin wet clutches - put bike oil in
Make sure cable is adjusted properly
Plates may get stuck together after time unused - see my tip for quickly releasing seized clutches

Unlikely to have to change the clutch
Clutch not disengaging
Make sure cable has only a couple of mm play. If unable to adjust at handlebars then adjust at clutch end
A quick & dramatic way to unseize clutches is to put front wheel up against a wall or similar, bike at 90 degrees to it, front brake on, with full riders weight on seat, in neutral hold clutch in & handlebars straight, rev her up to 3 - 4000rpm, brace your arms & dump her into 1st gear
The shock will generally free-up even a completely seized clutch
The other option is to strip & clean the clutch plates

My 2007 s4rs is having trouble finding neutral and also first and second gear seem to send a slight bit of vibration through the bike.its not really noticable but i know the bike very well.im thinking the...


I would fix the clutch first and see if this improves things.
If it creeps this is why it wont select neutral.
The clutch basket can wear out as well as the clutch plates

I put the bike in gear and hold the clutch in and within a couple of seconds the bike creeps forward and i have to hold the brake on to stall it.


I would suggest that if you have a hydraulic clutch, the master or slave cylinder is leaking back into the system. If mechanical, check the clutch play adjustment.

new procut basket and barnett plates. Had to file the barnett friction plate tangs they all slide but are a tight fit. All plates installed carefully per the Barnett instructions. Started the bike in neutral all fine shifted into 1st clutch in, I feel the bike want to creep forward although just slightly (I can hold it with my feet down). Can't get to neutral again with the clutch in until I shut the bike off. So, just before I go back in and pull a plate out to make the clutch pack smaller, i wondered whether anyone here has had this problem and whether if I ride it like this for a short while whether the clutch pack will settle in and fully disengage?,A too-high overall thickness of the plate stack will cause drag between plates when the clutch is disengaged making it difficult to select neutral when the bike is stopped. The last 2mm steel plate can be interchanged with a 1.5mm curved plate facing away from you if you want to adjust the stack to get the 38mm stack thickness, or if you want a more progressive, soft clutch engagement. A commonly-used substitution that adds an additional spring plate to the stack. Any of the steel 2mm plain plates can be exchanged with 1.5mm plain plates to reduce stack thickness or increase stack thickness as needed to achieve your desired overall height. You will see the need for this as friction plates wear, so keep your steel plates from pervious clutch replacements as spares to be used as height adjustments later. The 2mm and 1.5mm steel plates only need replacing if they’re scored or warped.,,,
