If the bike is equipped with a wire spoked wheel, it does have a tube. If your bike is equipped with a cast aluminum wheel, it does not have a tube.

Good Luck

How to Avoid Bike Tire Punctures?

Don't skimp on tire and tube quality. It's worth it! Match the size and type of tire to your riding. Some tires are made for speed, and some are made to be puncture resistant. Inflate tires to the proper amount (use a gauge), as too low or too high, can increase punctures.

Tube sealants keep bikes from getting flats!

When it comes to fixing and preventing flat tires on bikes there are many options from tire liners to puncture proof tires, but I have found that tube sealants have been the best solution. Tube sealants can be used to fix existing punctures in your tires and can work as a preventative measure against future punctures. Making them a great fix and first line of defense!

They're also super easy to apply, you just inject the sealant into the tire through the air valve on the tire. The sealant works to coat the inside of the tube protecting you from any future punctures and if there is a hole in your tire it will fill and seal off the hole. A simple solution for a very big problem!

How do you get the rubber tire off the rim?

Get the rim / tire of the frame. Let all the air out of the tube, Using two flat blade screw drivers, put them between the rim and tire about 3 inches apart, (be careful not to puncture the tube) Pry the tire over the rim, leave one in place and move the other about 3 more inches and pry the tire over the rim again, keep moving around the rim until the side is off. Reach in and pull the tube out, fish the stem through the hole. Finish pulling the tire off the rim, you can use liquid soap to help make things easy. Put the rim back together the same way. Hope this helps Fix Ya up.

I have had five flats in rapid sequence. None are punctures. The first three were slow leaks but no one could find the leak. Even placed the hyperinflated tube in soapy water. Nothing. Next morning it was...

Hi. It could be you're puting in too much air. Check pressures. 2) check valve that it is tight in and sealing properly. Note: When you travel on hot pavement the pressure will rise so put the proper air in. It maybe written on tire sidewall. Max PSI ..... Good luck.

I have a tire tube that's punctured. how do i get a new one?

If you walk often, best bet is to just replace the tube as you're going to have to take out the flat tube either way. It's also the fastest rather than trying to patch up a small tube and doesn't guarantee that the repair won't leak air. Small the tube, the expansion/contraction with heat/cold would raise that possibility.

Tubes can be bought even at Wal-Mart and other places for $3. You can always purchase a bicycle tire lever as these 12"/16" tires come off fairly easily. Of course if you absolutely cannot get them off for any reason a bicycle shop will be able to do so.

This is a great video showing how you can replace the tube.

Air is leaking from spoke how do i stop this

Your inner tube is leaking air. Remove the wheel and remove the tire on one side only (one bead over the rim edge) to allow access to the inner tube. remove the tube and the tire the rest of the way. Basic tire removing tools are neccesary such as tire spoons and rim protectors. check the rim for sharp points as well as any debris that might have punctured the tire. Check the inside of the tire very carefully as well. If somthing punctured the tire it might be still sticking out on the inside - a potential hazard to your fingers. Patch the tube or, better yet, replace it - a much more dependable solution. Install one bead of the tire back on and then the tube. Infate and deflate the tube with one side of the tire off the rim to ensure proper fit and arrangement of the tube inside the tire. Reinstall the tire and the wheel back into the bike following manufacturers recommended procedures and torques found in a service manual.

Need tire tubes for back tires. Can't find anywhere. please help or Schwinn should take back faulty product.

Usually you can look on the tire sidewall and find the info you need. For a really good explanation of tubes and tire sizing try http://www.sheldonbrown.com/tire_sizing.html In general a 12" marked tube should fit a 12" tire. There are other factors to consider though and the mentioned site explains them all very well. When you replace the tube make sure you use plastic or synthetic tire tools to prevent a pinch flat. A pinch flat occurs when you accidently puncture the tube while mounting the bead of the tire back on the rim and the tube gets caught between the rim and the tire or the tool and the tube etc. Only put enough air in the tube to give it a little shape when inserting it in the tire. Hope this helps. Get back to me if you need any more advice and I can further direct you.
