Question about 2004 Harley Davidson XL 883 Sportster
Since you must remove the upper fork crown and lower the steering to get the old lock out and the new one in, I would suspect it would take about three hours labor but this is just a guess on my part. Most shops use what they call a "standard rate book". This book tells the shop how long a particular job should take and how much to charge the customer. Most shops stick to this figure even if the job takes longer than the book says it should.
