If your bike will only run with the choke half way out it's starving for feul. You have a clogged jet. By choking the bike you cut off the air and allow more feul to run through the carb.
your carbs not getting enough fuel check the bowl and jets. I run a pice of wire down the jets even if they look open just to be sure. Speaker wire strands work well for the tiny holes
Were you able to solve this problem? what did you do? It just happened to me today, topped off the tank, made it 3 miles then it just dies on me. wont start up. Same bike.
If so you have to prime the fuel bowls with gas by opening the pet **** for a minute until the fuel bowls are full of fuel THEN you set your choke if you have a manual choke THEN start the bike.
