I would think the only accurate way to find that ut is through a main dealership or the DVLA.

My idle adjustment cable was mistakenly unscrewed while trying to start my 93 zx1100 ninja. I want to simply screw it back into the carb. How do I do that correctly. Tha nks

Line it back up and screw it all the way in. GENTLY when you get to the point that it stops, STOP you don't want it to force it in. when it is in all the way. back it out 1 and a half turns. Then start the bike. Pay attention to the RPM, screw it in slowly till the RPM just starts to drop and then back it out 1/2.

1995 Kawasaki ZX-6R Ninja overheating

Hi, Anonymous and the usual suspects are:
1. Low coolant level.
2. Restricted radiator air flow.
3. Faulty thermostat.
4. Coolant pump or fans inoperative.
5. Vent hose crimped.
6. Air in the coolant and needs bleeding.
7. Engine idling too long or bike moving too slow.
8. Coolant too old needs to be replaced.
9. Faulty temperature sensor, wiring or connector.

I got a 250 2002 ninja. It won't go into gear and I need to rebuild the engine because it smokes a lot. What would be my first step to fixing it? I'm a chick that doesn't know too much about fixing a ninja...

if it wont go into gear it may be your statter or clutch. Hard to tell, what i always do is take my bike in when i have problems like this, have them diagnose the problem, get a list of part numbers and do the work yourself :) :)

What engine will fit in a 1986 ninja?

Get a different engine just like the one you had. Google " motorcycle salvage Kawasaki " and you can probably find the engine you need there. The best thing is now you have a whole lot of spare parts > the old engine.

Please rate this answer. Thanks Andre!

2002 kawasaki ninja 250 motor on ATV need wiring help

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

To my knowledge, there would only be 3 wires needed from the handlebars that affects the engine:
  • engine RUN/OFF;
  • clutch ENGAGED;
  • engine START.
The first 2 would go to the interlock plus the neutral wire and the sidestand wire. The interlock then sends signals that starter motor can turn and that CDI can fire.

As to the ignition coil, 1 wire is IGN B+12 while the other would go to the CDI and should pulsate when cranking or engine running.

Good luck and thank you for using FixYa.
