Why my alternator dont charge at normal engine idle thanks

You have rvc/regulated voltage control, that circuitry is in your pcm. I'm not saying the pcm is faulty, at the moment, I don't know? You also have a battery temp sensor in the battery tray housing, that might cause problems?
Check for applicable charging system trouble codes, if you haven't already.

96 cadillac eldorado etc battery not staying charged when the car is started the battery goes up to 14 when driving and press brake voltage drops 11-12(car may even die) and to 13+ if u give it gas

Does the vehicle start after sitting over night or do you need to jump start it . Is the charge light on ( batt. symbol ) at any time ? Serpentine belt good , tensioner good ? Battery cable connections good an tight and no corrosion ? Battery also good ? That is normal for battery voltage to jump up to 14 volts after starting , alternator is replenishing the battery after starting ,that draws down the battery . Going down to 11 or 12 volts when stopping and almost stalling isn't a charging system problem . You have a idle problem , IAC - idle air control valve or dirty air passage , a vacuum leak . Giving it gas and it going up to 13+ the alternator is working . Your best bet take it to a qualified repair shop and have it check .

I have a 01 flht the volt meter reads at 11 volt a idle when I bring the Rpms up around 2 thousand the voltage gage reads at 14 cleaned all the conections had the battery checked it was fine any...

Whenever your rpms increase, so will the voltage out of your regulator. With the bigger bikes, they draw a lot of power at idle the regulator/stator wont charge the battery but rather keep everything else running during idle. Once your out of idle, then the stator sends more to the regulator which will then send more to the battery for charging (hence the more Voltage you are seeing). Hope this helps!

My Whizzer motor bike will fire, but wont turn over and start

If you battery had a standard reading of 11.5 volts that drops down to .5 volts when you put load on the battery, your battery has gone bad. A healthy battery will give you a static reading of around 12.6 volts, and that will drop to about 12 volts when you're starting the bike. Conversely, when the bike is running, you should see 13.5-14.5 volts across the battery terminals. That shows that the alternator is charging and that the battery is good.

I have a vehicle with a battery going south. I have a static voltage of 12.16 volts, and I only get about 13.2 volts across the terminal when the car is running and the alternator is charging the battery. Soon, it will be time to change out the battery.

Hope this helps!

New stator cover bike wont start

useing a multimeter set to d.c check your charge at the battery whith out the motor running it should read above 12 volts determine the voltage stored in the battery with the meter stil conected hit the start button if the meter shows a dramatic drop in voltage its almost certain that the battery is shot howevwer if the voltage does not drop & it wont start bump start it conect the meter still set on dc increase the revs asyou do this the voltage should climb to 13.50 if it does & maintains 13.50 to 13.65 the chargeing system can be declared ok & you only need replace the battery however if it goes above 14 volts the voltage regulator is faulty & cooking the battery so you will need to replace both

My battery is good and i road it for bout 2 hrs then came to stop and now it wont stay running unless i jump start it

You may need to clean connectors on battery wires ,or replace a fuse. The charge depleating could also be caused by a bad stator, stator wire conection or voltage regulator. after battery is charged test volts at battery while running, they should raise when rpms are increased to 1500 or 2000 or so, idle voltage may be 12 volts with rpms raised volts should go up to as much as 14.8 or so if all is well.if not keep looking for the problem from volt reg. back to stator .also stator output is AC and regulator output is DC.

Honda civic 2001, excessively high voltage 19 to 20 volts ... so something is wrong. Before replacing alt& regulator, what voltage and under what conditions should be on each of the 4 control wires...

never mind testing if when you start the car you are getting them voltages then fit a new alternator and quick before you burn out the ECU ,the regulator has packed up end of story ,change alternator now ,NEW not a scrappy one from scrapyard, and stop try to confuse the issue with something you do not know ,no voltage leaving the alternator should not exceed 14.7v

The battery in my 1981 Yamaha xt 500 runs flat how do I check the magneto or charging system of the bike

You will have to get a digital volt meter,Harbor freight has them for $2.00, other stores like Sears, Radio Shack, any auto parts store will have them for various prices, you just need a cheap one that measures volts. Hook the positive lead up to the positive battery terminal, and the negative lead to the negative terminal, read your battery voltage should be from 11.90 volts to 12. 98 volts. Start the bike and measure the voltage while running, voltage should go up to 13.5 to 14.8 volts. If the voltage goes up the bike is charging, if it stays the same as when it isn't running the bike is not charging.

dear daytona 500 your battery should test 12.7 volts with the engine turned off. your alt should test14.2 volts at fast idle. 13.3 volts means your alt is not putting out. jim
