I have somewhat of the same problem but not really. I would check the fuse but you have probably done that. I would run new medium grade wire from powerpoint ( 12V source ) that is hooked up to your ignition. Then run to your choke wire. you can also do a manual set of the choke to get it started. My choke doesn't work at all and needs to be replaced. Having the same starting problem though.

Ford f100 starter diagram

You have starter relay on fender lining. A large post on either side of relay? You can take two long shank screwdrivers, touch each post, then touch the shanks. The starter motor should crank. If you try that make sure tranny is in park or neutral and parking brake is set. Battery has a full charge and battery connections all good? Starter motor is good? Engine isn't seized?
I couldn't get everything in one picture, there is the ignition switch and neutral or clutch switch depending on the tranny and wiring circuits.

Have you checked the starter solenoid? Replace this and see if you're getting fire then. They are usually suspect and the first link in the chain between your battery and the distributor.

This sounds like a telltale choke issue. You running carburated right?
If it is what i think it is you have a choke thermostat on the carb. If so check the votage on the wire and if you have power then the choke thermostat has to be replaced. you can do a manual set of the choke behind the carb just to see if this is the problem.
