There are many good synthetic oils for bikes, generally the more it costs the better it is.
10w30 seems ok but will depend on your location and tempurature,
Your manual has a page on oil and recommended weights

The question i want an answer to was what brand of oil did they use in the buick century custom from the factory.

Hi Keri,if you look in you owners manual,it won't have a brand type,it will have a chart of what grade oil you should use in certain temperatures. Most Buicks have the oil type printed on the oil cap - it will likely be 5W-20, 5W-30, 5W-40, 10W-30 or 10W-40. If it isn't printed on the oil cap, check your owners manual for the exact type before adding new oil. Here's a link you may look at. http://www.amsoil.com/mygarage/vehiclelookup.aspx?url2=2000+BUICK+CENTURY+J

What oil to use for a 10 year Ford Focus 2003

Generally speaking, we do not make recommendations on products by brand. Any of the brands you mentioned will meet the factory specs.
If the car has over 100,000 miles, you could bump up the weight to 10w-30 or 10w-40. Or stay with the factory recommendation.
The low number is the weight of the oil at zero degrees, and the high number is the weight at 200 degrees.
Keeping the oil and filter changed is more important than the weight.

I want to know what kind of oil to put in the machine itself, i checked the dipstick and it is needing oil

Without knowing what brand or model pressure washer you have, as a general rule:

If you're talking about the gas motor, it usually takes 10W-30, 5W-30 or 10W-40 motor oil, depending on the temperature range in your area. 10W-30 is a good all around oil to use.

If you're talking about the water pump, if it's an oil bath pump, use a straight 30 weight, non-detergent motor oil.

What type of engine oil should i use for my 2002 jeep grand cherokee

I've had Jeeps for the past thirty years and in every one I use a good grade of synthetic oil. I generally run a 20w/50 but 10w 30 or 40 is fine. I use Amsoil because it lasts far longer than others do but any good name brand synthetic is fine (hint: Walmart synthetic is made by Quaker State and is just fine, you can change it at 4K -5K miles without problems.)
Always use a good quality filter...ones rated at the smallest micron filtration protect the best. Think of your oil filter as your kidneys. The better they are, the better you feel!!!

The manual says to use 10-weight oil on the bar when the temperature is below 30. I can't find any straight 10-weight oil anywhere, in stores or on line. Does any company make straight 10-weight oil?...

10W is air tool oil, or fork oil for suspension tubes, there are some air tool oils that are 5W. Did they call it 10 weight, or 10W? 10W means 10Winter, 10W-30 is 10Winter-30 Weight

2nd service V star 1300 4000 miles can or should i use castrol gtx oil ?or is it best to use the yamaha brand ?

Use motorcycle oil. It should have the JASO MA rating on the bottle . Do not use any oil that says Energy Conserving on the label , it will shorten the life of your wet clutch and transmission gears(wrong additives). Use 10w-40 for colder climates and 20w-50 for warm climates/touring. Synthetics will help your bike run cooler and shift easier. Amsoil and Mobile 1 make good motorcycle oil. Yamaha full synthetic (all there oil) is kind of expensive. Suzuki has a 15w-50 full synthetic that is reasonable ($7 a quart last time I got it)

What kind of oil should I use for my bike

Motorcycle oil with the JASO MA rating Honda recommends 10w-40 year round or 20w-50 in hot weather. Do not use oil that is Energy Conserving It will shorten wet clutch and gear life. I recommend synthetic Amsoil, Mobil 1 motorcycle, etc.. Also consider synthetic hypoid gear oil for the rear end it will have less friction and run cooler.

OIl change

For Texas I would have used the recommended 10w-40 or the hot weather 20w-50. 10w-30 sounds like cold climate or new car oil. I hope you used the Amsoil motorcycle oil with the JASO MA rating. In hot weather you might find the 10w-30 oil will tend to burn off the walls of the cylinders( some day you will check your oil and find out you are a quart low.). Without the correct rating on the oil you will also increase clutch and gear wear. Do Not use any oil that says energy conserving on the label.

What kind of oil does it take

In the summer it's best to use a heavier weight than you do in the winter. I usually use 10w/30 or 10w/40 in the summer, but in winter i use 5w/20 or 10w/20. As far as brand, it's really a personal preference. I still use castrol in my personal vehicle.
