Hi Glennnabors, for this situation I would call my local dealer or reputable shop's service/parts department and inquire about any possible quick fix or parts inquiry. If necessary transport your vehicle to the dealer or shop and have a professional technician take it for a test drive, if it is in running condition, and give you a written estimate of repairs and answer any specific questions you may have about your issue. For more information about your issue please visit the website below. Good luck and have a nice day. 1989 Kawasaki ATV Service Repair Workshop Manuals

SOURCE: Blue smoke comes from exaust is it carb or rings

Blue smoke means oil is burning. The most likely reason is oil is getting past your piston rings because of wear. Run a compression check. If it is less than 150 psi it is time for a rebuild. It may run for a while burning oil and you will want to replace most of the parts anyway so it probably won't cost you much more money to keep running it until it dies. Just keep a close watch on your oil, if you run it out of oil it won't run for more than a few minutes.

SOURCE: kawasaki 300 bayou won't rev up.

No guarantees but try this. Pull the slide from the throat of the carb. Now move the clip on the jet needle down one notch. This will richen the low end mix. Two notches may be needed but do one notch at the start.

Kawasaki 220 Bayou has 3 gas lines coming off the carb. Where do they go? I need a diagram

How do you know they are gas lines? Are they the same diameter? Why are they not still connected?
Does this ATV have a fuel pump? If so they probably connect to the pump.. one is the fuel line and one is a vacuum line... the other probably an overflow.

Kawasaki Bayou 220, cleaned carb. dont completely understand the floats but all jets are clear. reinstalled fuel lines, throttle, and choke cables. Starts great, also idles great. BUT when i test drive it:...

To start with was it fine before you cleaned it? Is any gas over flowing from the carb at any time? Does it start well when cold or hot? Will it take throttle slowly but not quickly? Did you adjust your air screw? These answers will help me determine what is going on. Did you pull the float off? Did you check the choke and make sure reassembly is correct?

My bike was sitting for a while before i bought it i wanted to clean up the carbs but cant get them all the way off. i need to know how to remove the throttle and choke lines

Choke cable - The cable nipple attaches to a bracket on the choke shaft, pull on metal end of the cable (where it goes onto the carbs) until the bracket has moved enough to disengage the nipple (hold bracket, release cable & disengage)
Throttle cables - Loosen the cable adjuster at the twist-grip all the way. Next loosen the 4 clamp screws holding the carbs on, disconnect the vacuum hoses, then remove carbs lift them up & disconnect the cable nipples from their holders
Et Voila !

1989 cbr600 revving really high then shuting down

you need to check the choke cable to make sure it is not hung up and flooding the engine pull the cable and see if it feels free if so you might want to take the carbs off and clean check top and bottoms tops may have diaphams in them that may be wore out make sure to take choke cable out from carbs they like to hang up good luc p.s. take pictures as u go if you are unfimilar with rebuilding carbs if the choke is hanging up once you get that taken care of make sure to change your plugs they are probally fouled
