Check compression on cylinders , keep gauge on see if u have leak down. check timing marks , pull cover and see if marks line up to correct cylinder marks, electronic ignition module may be bad.

2005 honda cbr 600 rr wont start and my head lights wont turn on it cranks but no start

check fuses for head light..check battery to insure >12.4v minimum! if not correct voltage you may have a cell going bad...take #1 spark plug out hang it to side of frame crank..does it have a big bluish spark? if it looks redish purple no good..pulse generators need to be ohmd out for opens.
if you"ve got "Good Spark" and "Good Voltage" push start the bike!
if it runs... but runs crappy then its a fuel issue which a can of Sea Foam from Autozone will cure $10 pour 1/3 can into 2 gallons fuel drive for 10 to 15 miles it will clean out all injectors and extract moisture from the tank if you have any in there. let me know if this helps any. thanks.

do a compreshion test on the engine as the backfire could have been the head gasket poping if the gasket has blown it will never start

I have a 1997 honda CBR .. I put two new spark plugs in it and just bought a new battery and it will not start up! It just backfires when you crank it up! The battery is fully charged. I don't know what...

Have any more details?

How long has it been sitting? How old is the gas? Have you checked that your are getting a spark from the plugs? Gas turned on?

Cheers,

Engine will turn over bun wont run occasionally backfires through exhaust & carburetors

If it has ever been sitting for a long period of time (a year, or more) then you will need to have the carburetors disassembled and cleaned.
If that's not the case, then verify that the engine has enough compression to run. Each cylinder need to produce at least 140 psi of compression. If the compression is good, look at the spark plugs. Are they wet with fuel or oil fouled? If so, replace them.
Assuming the above items are okay, the backfiring should then be considered a symptom of incorrect ignition timing (faulty ignition system), or incorrect cam timing (major engine work needed). Or something really basic, like plug wires connected to the wrong spark plugs.

Bike shuts off after downshifting to 1st or 2nd.

The bike wont start for a little bit ????????????
What do you mean.Either it starts or it doesn't.
First of all check the fuel pump.Place the kill switch to "off" position and turn on the key.Put your left hand on the pump (it is under the seat and close to the fuel tank I think.Looks like a drum with 2 pipes on one side and wire on the other end) and then press the kill switch to "on" position. The pump should start pumping for a few sec and then it will stop.
What exactly is a "spudder" that you heard from the exhaust? Like an explosion with a flame (backfire)?
When you crank the engine does it feel like having combustion or it turns like there are no pistons inside?
