Question about Honda VT 600 C Shadow Motorcycles

1 Answer

I have a 1993 honda vt600 motorcycle. I ordered a tubeless tire and the one I have on it right now is a tubed tire. I noticed the valve stem on the rim is in the center of the rim and looks like it can be unscrewed.. can I put a tube in this new tubeless tire and mount it on my tubed rim?

My car is a 1995 Pontiac Bonneville. The last time I purchased new tires the size was 215/65R-15 96H Allseasons blackwall ....balanced w/ tubeless valve stem

the size is still available from most quality tire retailers
the all seasons black wall may be out of production and all tubeless tires get a new valve stem in the rim

Which tyre best for honda cb shine 80/100-18 tubeless or 3.00-18 tubetype

Hi Nagraj, it all depends on what type of wheel you are running. If your wheel has spokes you must use a tube, if your wheel is cast you can run tubeless. Good luck

How do I remove a valve stem from riding mower rim?

If your simply replacing it with a new one or installing an inner tube you take a sharp knife and cut back side off. Don't cut completely as you want to catch that piece before it falls inside the tire. Then you simple pull the stem breaking that piece off, catching the back piece as it falls.

If you wanting to put back in a new stem for tubeless use you need a t-shape valve core wrench. After you place the new stem in the hole you thread the tool on and pull the new stem into place.

Tubeless?

Look at the hole where the air would go into the tire., and at the rim itself. Although I never heard of a tubeless bicycles tire, except for the solid rubber tired ones, there may be some of the racing bikes or VERY expensive models that do not have tubes. If your rim has a plain hole, it should be using a tube inside the tire, same as a wheel barrow. If there is a valve stem with a core mounted in the hole, not connected to a tube, it is tubeless. Most bicycles rims also are not air tight, because of the holes in the rim for the spokes. This means there are about 30 - 40 holes beside the hole for the valve stem of the tube. Those holes have the nut of the spoke in them, and are usually covered with a wide "rubber band" to keep the tube from being punctured by the spokes.
Be blessed.

Balanced

Yep, they need to be balanced. You can buy a kit to do this at home if you want. If it's a tubeless tire then you don't need tubes. Tubes don't help do anything for tubeless tires.
