A jet kit isnt going to help unless the current fuel mixture is incorrect. Usually the simplest go fast tip is a new muffler that is less restrictive than the genuine one, and then rejet the carb to match the new muffler. dont forget to upgrade the brakes and suspension as well it you get it going faster, as four wheeler cause more serious injuries each year than two wheel bikes.

04 vt1100 cuts out at 3/4 to full throttle has open pipes and a jet kit

fuel or air starvation ! free flow filter and a bigger bore fuel tap and pipe to feed faster will help ! open pipes done give any back pressure , you could use really short baffles in the pipes as i had this problem on a gs550 suzuki with 4 drag pipes on it !

2008 Suzuki Boulevard S50 carburetor tuning

Hi, Anonymous if you have changed your fuel delivery system, air filter size or flow rate, mufflers or exhaust system or a significant change in altitude your carburetors need re-tuning and if your fuel system (gas tank, filters, fuel valve and carburetor) is contaminated with ethanol sludge, varnish, rust, dirt, water etc. or your bike has been sitting for months or years without running these components must be "PROPERLY" cleaned and reassembled "CORRECTLY" before any adjustments can be made. Tuning your carburetor is fairly simple once you understand the basic principals. You engine is a simple airbox sucking air in and blowing it out, it is finely tuned at the factory for maximum performance once you upset that delicate balance by changing air filters, camshafts or exhaust systems your performance may go down the and the engine may run poorly, you need to compensate the air-fuel mixture in the carburetor in order for the engine to run smoothly and at peak performance. If you are running multi carburetors you need to sync them first and make sure your air cleaner element is clean and dry for paper elements or lightly oiled for foam and meshed elements and properly installed. Here is how and where you compensate trouble: "TIP" if your engine "BOGS" you're not getting enough fuel.
1. Close to 1/8 throttle is managed by the air screw and pilot/slow jet.
2. 1/8 to 1/4 throttle is managed by the air-screw, pilot/slow jet, and throttle slide.
3. 1/4 to 1/2 throttle is managed by the throttle slide and jet needle.
4. 1/2 to 3/4 throttle is managed by the jet needle, needle jet, main jet, and air jet.
5. 3/4 to wide open throttle is managed by the main jet and air jet.
6. Wide open throttle is managed by the main jet.
If you are running lean, spark plug electrode color is white, engine runs hot and feels like it is starving for fuel you need to go up on the jet size or move the c-clip down one notch. If you are running rich, spark plug color is black or dark gray, the engine runs cool, and bogs down when accelerating you need to go down on jet size or move the c-clip up one notch. When your carburetor is properly tuned for maximum performance your spark plug electrode will be a light tan color like coffee with cream. If you prefer fuel economy over performance you can go down on main jet sizes until a satisfactory level of lower performance is acceptable versus MPH, your spark plug color will be whiter and your engine will run warmer. These tuning adjustments will only make improvements if your intake and exhaust system have no air leaks or sealing issues and the entire electrical system is in proper working order and you have no mechanical issues.

Hi erik
My first point of call would be to clean the spark plug, it could have gotten corroded while the bike has been standing. Hope this helps.

Seat height i need to lower 1995 suzuki rm250

Hi Mike, here are some options for lowering your bike depending on your needs and wallet:
1. Rear shock lowering kit.
2. Front fork lowering kit.
3. Shorter rear shocks.
4. Shorter front forks.
5. Thinner padded seat.
6. Lower profile tires.
Please be aware that some of these options or a combination of options will require a shorter kickstand or your stock one modified.

Can i adjust the carbs on my 2001 yamaha r1 to run a bit richer what should i do cause my bike is running lean over 8000rpm

there is a fuel screw at the bottom of the carb, i would close it (turn it in) all the way, and then back the screw out 1 and a half turns, then go from there, if it is still too lean, turn the screw out 1/4 turn more, and then again if still too lean. has anything been done to the bike, new after market exaust? because then maybe you need to rejet the carb to get fuel to the engine a little faster. you can get a jet set....all the jets that match from moose racing. the jet sets are packaged as a kit. you would get a new needle jet, main jet, pilot jet, air jet. but befor you go through all that i would tinker with the fuel screw.

1999 suzuki 500 4 wheeler.air screw on carb?

The air screw and throttle screw are NEVER supposed to be tightened up at all. Doing this can damage the seat. Only screw the air screw and throttle screw in until they LIGHTLY seat. Now turn each adjuster one and one half turns outward. Chances are you will need to replace the adjuster screws to get the bike to idle properly. Yeah, the ends look okay but that little ring indentation where the screw was tightened down matters a lot. If re-setting the screws fixes the problem you should consider yourself lucky.

Hi ......... sounds like the petrol is igniting in the pipe, could be valve needs reground (carryout a compression check), leak in the exhaust system (all gaskets & joints good ?). What colour is the spark plug ? Have you recently put a new pipe, filter or re jetted the bike ?

Have an 06 Suzuki Katana 750. when I start it with full choke it runs fine, then when I go to ride (choke off) it has a low idle and stalls out. I have to go full choke for it to warm up for over 30 min....

Not for sure but u might try to re jet the bike.i own a 98 suzuki bandit 600s and it also is really cold hearted. those bikes are unfortunately known for that problem.not that it was much help but u might try contacting Dales Holeshot Performance he specializes those types of bikes he also sells the jet kits.
i would also try to adjust the idle slightly higher hope this at least helps
