SOURCE: where is the speedometer sensor

Speed sensor is located at the front sprocket cover. You'll see the wires that go to it. Sometimes if your battery cables are loose it will cause it to do that as well.

SOURCE: CANT FIND IAT SENSOR ON 2001 YAMAHA R1

Hi,
Your Air Intake temperature sensor is located under your tank, about midway up the frame. It is gray in color, and has one Black/Blue wire, and one Brown/White wire.
If you need a diagram, let me know and I can email it to you.

What kind of oil are you using and how full is it , I have heard that full synthetic is not good for it can make it slip.

HI i have a fuel injected yamaha r1 2008 and as it gets warmer it starts to fast idle and runs iraticly like the choke is on can any body advise?

2. Dirt, rust, water, or ethanol sludge in the fuel system.
3. Sticky throttle cables.
4. Multiple carburetors not in synchronization.
5. TPS sensor out of adjustment or faulty.
6. Wrong spark plugs for the type of service.
7. Throttle bodies not in synchronization (FI)
8. Faulty O2 sensor.
9. Clogged, stuck, or faulty IAC valve.
10. Aftermarket components not compatible with ECM.

Where is the speedometer sensor located in the 2005 Yamaha R1? It happened suddenly. My speedometer is a way above my real speed and reacting weird. When I stop it's still around 37 mph going down...


Speed sensor is located at the front sprocket cover. You'll see the wires that go to it. Sometimes if your battery cables are loose it will cause it to do that as well.
