Genuine chains are normally sold continious, there are many accessory companies selling genuine quality chain in cut lenghts with joining links, the joining pins are punched with a pin punch after assembly so the side plates dont come off.
I used to buy 50meter lenghts and a box of links and have fitted hundreds of them

Hi. Suzuki rf600r 1993. Cam chain rattle. Does this require new cam chain or can it be adjusted without dismantling. Is tensioner automatic. cheers Tony Fuff.

a 93 model is likely to need a chain and tensioner, if you undo the tensioner mounting bolts it should spring out 10-15mm

Hi i have a 93 dr250 motorbike and i am lossing

Hi !
Just get new washer rings for the 2 bolts.
They have hardened and craked with wear and tear and heat. In high heat and pressure the oil becomes very thin and leaks through the cracked washers.
Your problem will be solved.

I am in the process of changing timing chains on a 2005 suzuki boulevard c50t. I was wondering what the maximum stretch of the chains are. I am thinking it might just be the tentioners too. The weird thing...

The cam chain it stretched, just like a drive chain. It should not have any tight spots, or loose spots. Replace the cam chain and look into aftermarket cam chain adjusters like APE. Chaz Moto DC
