Hello
Have the battery tested I will bet is is defective, the life span of motorcycle batteries is about 2 years unless you keep them on a maintenance charger like a "Battery Tender" brand battery maintainer or its equivalent. these have two advantages, the battery is always fully charged and it at very least doubles the life of the battery...

Adjust carburetor yamaha sr125

Hi, Anonymous the carburetor throttle shaft wheel has two cables the cable closest to the right side of the bike is the throttle cable and the one closest to the left side is the idle cable. Right about the middle between the two is the idle adjustment bolt it faces out towards the air filter end of the carb . The engine should be at operating temperature with the enrichener off to set the idle between 950-1050 rpm. Turn the idle adjustment bolt clockwise to increases idle speed and counterclockwise to decrease idle speed. If you have access to your air fuel mixture bolt you may adjust it as well if not there is a video below on how to gain access, make sure you start with clean or new spark plugs. Gently turn the air fuel mixture bolt clockwise until it starts to bottom out "STOP" do not over tighten as it will damage the taper on the end, now back it out 2 full turns to establish a starting point start the engine and check the idle rpm's and adjust the idle adjustment bolt accordingly for 950-1050 rpm if necessary, adjust the air fuel mixture bolt 1/4 turn at a time and let the engine settle for about 10 seconds, clockwise for a leaner mixture and counterclockwise for a richer mixture you are seeking the highest rpm your air fuel mixture bolt can acquire without going past 3 full turns from bottom then readjusting the idle adjustment bolt back down to 950-1050 rpm If you can not detect any rpm change and can not stall the engine by turning the air-fuel mixture bolt all the way in then your pilot/low-speed jet is too big. Final adjustment should be made with a clean air filter mounted to the carburetor. I have a 1994 honda vt1100 and i have to jump it everytime i ride. i ride for a bit of time. when i turn it off the bike wont start. any ideas please help

Most certainly the starter motor. Either brushes or bushes. Suggest you remove the starter and have it overhauled. The fact that you can jump start it with no problem show it is only in the starting up, hence the starter motor.

My bike starts no problem drives great but when i stop the bike and turn it of it wont start ihave to jump it in gear and of she goesits a 00 125 intruder lc its been sitting up for 4years veeery clean...

Sounds like the cut out switch on the kick stand. The bike shouldn't start if you have the kick stand down. Check the kick stand is fully retracted and that the switch is disengaging OK. Maybe the stand is slightly loose & its making contact even when retracted. Otherwise check the kill switch. Both parts are available cheaply on ebay & easy to replace.

I'm having trouble starting my Yamaha SR125. When I try to start it the ignition relay buzzes. I recharged the battery, tested the ignition relay and eventually replaced the battery, all to no avail. It...

Ignition relay buzz with a new battery is almost always bad connection to the battery or some other component. Do you have a friend's bike battery you could use for a jump? That would tell you if the starter was healthy. Clean EVERY connection in the starter circuit on both ground and positive sides.

My aprilia Sr 125 will not start it's bin sat for about year and my mates house. and my kick start is not turning when i kick it. Help. Any ideas. Everything else is fine the battery is carb is fuel pipe...

If the kick-start wont turn then it may well be seized, partially seized if you are lucky.
Spray some p.t.f.e. based lubricant down the spark plug hole, leave for 20 mins, then ease kick-start down.
If this has no effect then it will need a top-end rebuild ( this could mean just piston rings, but it may well need a new piston & rebore)

Ride safe

Spark plug problem and starting it

Today is your lucky day. Go to the website below and you can download a free service manual and a free parts diagram for your bike. Now you can find the plug and a whole lot more.

http://www.carlsalter.com/motorcycle-manuals.asp Most manuals are in English but some are not. There is no way to be sure without doing the download. You can always delete it if in a foreign language.

Top rating for this answer! Thanks Tommy.
