Question about Suzuki GSX-R 600 Motorcycles

I want to know if my ECU is faulty. When I get over 12500 RPM the bike loses all power and sputters until it drops below the 12500 and then regains full power. It does it in all gears. Its a 2008 Suzuki GSXR 600

Its the set Valve. Have it removed or adjusted. I removed mine, problem solved

When I turn my lights on it cuts the bike off. No power, nothing. Fuses have been checked, battery is good. Bike worked great until I turn lights on.

the lights are taking all the power from the ignition system
that indicates the charge circuit is faulty
have it checked by a bike electrician

What can be done about a faulty brain box

Hi! Assuming the ECU is faulty there are some options for you!
1. The problem can be identified and repaired by someone who knows how to do so
2. Sometimes the previous option is more expensive than buying a new ECU to replace the faulty one. Even a used or refurbished one will do the job!

However, before deciding to replace the ECU you need to make sure that it is the ECU that is faulty! This can be easily verified by connecting it to a "computer" which will tell you if the ECU is faulty!

No, not the spark plugs. Likely a limp mode from the bikes ECU. Your air box and filter modes may cause a lean fuel condition, not rich. Wait till you get and install your Power Commander. The ECU should reset when you disconnect the battery for the PC install. Make sure you get the right map for your PC.

2011 Honda Activa engine sputters at low speed.

Hi, Tathagata and the usual suspects are:
1. Installation of a different camshaft.
2. Different exhaust system or "STRAIGHT PIPES"
3. Faulty advance curve.
4. Multiple carburetors not in sync.
5. Improperly installed jet kit or wrong kit.
6. Carburetor internal malfunction.
7. Fuel mixture too rich.
8. Fuel mixture too lean.
9. Extremely dirty air filter.

Motor chokes and misses under moderate load and loses power

Sounds to me as tho it might need a carburetor adjustment, providing there is an adjustment screw on the carb. Sounds like the engine is running a bit lean. Did this problem occur right after the carb cleaning, or was it there in advance? Is there a fuel filter that might be clogged?

Yamaha 125 TW looses power and throttle at top speed or revs

Hi, Richard_dunn and the usual suspects are:
1. Severely discharged or a damaged battery must have 12.5 volts or more and be able to pass a proper "LOAD" test if necessary, you may have a preliminary reading of 12.5 volts or more but little or zero amperage the battery is faulty and must be replaced, AGM batteries fail in this scenario more so than lead acid batteries.
2. Faulty alternator/generator and or voltage regulator.
3. Loose or corroded battery terminals and or cables especially the "NEGATIVE" cable, look for loose, corroded, or broken connectors inside the cable harness at "BOTH" ends.
4. Faulty main circuit breaker or ignition switch, check for loose connections and continuity.
5. Faulty system and or ignition relay, check for continuity.
6. Faulty ignition coil, ignition/electronic module.
7. Faulty CKP, CPS, CMP, MAP, TPS, or BAS sensor, corroded, loose or broken wire connector pins/sockets.
8. Throttle cables and or idle speed improperly adjusted hot idle speed should be 950 RPM to 1000 RPM.
9. Faulty neutral, side stand or clutch lever safety switch.
10. Fuel tank empty
11. Fuel tank contaminated with ethanol sludge.
12. Water or dirt in the fuel system, or clogged filter.
13. Restricted, blocked or kinked fuel line.
14. Faulty fuel pump.
15. Faulty pressure regulator.
16. Faulty or clogged fuel injectors.
17. Lean angle switch is faulty or needs adjustment.

Engine lacks power

the probes use the mazda motor.... the engine light is caused by a lean fuel mixture...this happens on almost every american motor..its the ecu tuning. this is a way for the a-spec motor to have less horsepower, but they detuned too far. if you replace the ecu with the j-spec one you will not have the light, and gain somewhere around 15 hp im not sure how much or how dramatic the losing power thing is but i do know that the 2.5l motors love LOVE the rpms... so 3,000 rpm is really where the motor starts to run good, other than that im not sure

sounds like the throttle potentiometer. its a box above the acc pedal which sends a signal to the ecu to let it know how far the pedal is pressed. unplu the connection and spray it with electrical cleaner. may need replacing
