Check your coolant temperature sensor it will be faulty, so it is giving the ecu a code that the engine is cold when it is warm so keeps running at a rich mixture.
Let me know if you want more information.

Keeps fouling plugs

3 things are the main causes of black soot. 1 not enough air, check air filter. 2 running too rich, lean out the carb. there will be 2 screws on the carb 1 to increase idle speed and 1 for air mixture. While running turn the mixture screw in until it sputters then back it out 1 turn. 3 bad timing. If the mower hits a rock or branch the shear pin can get creased and change the timing(it is to protect the crankshaft from breaking) Here is a link to a youtube video showing how to change the shear pin.

Cant figure out the whole choke process on my 2007 victory 8-ball. i can get it started okay and take off, but it seems like it will always die at the worst places......intersections. then its hard to get...

Pull your plugs and "read" them, look closely at the color of the this you can determine what kind of fuel/air mixture you're getting. A light color will indicate a lean condition, black would be rich to fouling, wet no spark---ideally they should be a dark brown if the fuel mixture is correct. You have EFI on this bike, so flooding should not be a problem unless the computer messes up or the spark is inadequate to fire the plug. Start by replacing the plugs and see how she runs...sometimes this is all they need. I hope this helps.

2001 Tacoma running rich but the scanner is reading a lean code

No, disconnecting the sensor and seeing no change would be a indication the maf was bad. Your computer takes information from your mass air flow sensor (maf), o2 sensor, cam position, and knock sensor to regulate the correct mixture. I would suspect a bad o2 sensor upstream. Try taking off the o2 sensor and seeing if there is black carbon on the base of the o2 sensor. If it has black carbon on the base it could be a bad o2 sensor. This problem could also be easily solved by hooking up a mechanics diagnostic computer to pin point the problem. Sometimes, you can clean the mass air flow with a special cleaner to help it generate a more accurate reading.

2001 Dodge Durango produces black smoke. Any ideas? The vehicle has 152,000 miles on it. I have NEVER had any problems with this vehicle. Routine maintenance is all that has been done with the exception of...

Black smoke is from an excessively rich mixture. Blue is oil, white is antifreeze.
Lots of possibilities.
If rough running, a fouled plug or shorting plugwire.
If uniform to all cylinders, plugged air cleaner, bad oxygen sensor, bad temperature sensor, bad air mass sensor, weak coil, retarded ignition, etc.
Start with a tune up.
Try a smaller sparkplug gap.
See if unplugging the oxygen sensor or temp sensor makes a difference. Each should.

The air mixture screw does not make my mixture richer or leaner

Unless your vehicle is really old and has a carburetor there shouldn't be an air mixture screw. Air and fuel mixture ratios on engines with Electronic Fuel Injection or EFI are controlled by the vehicle computer witch receives and sends information to and from a slew of different sensors like the oxygen sensors, throttle position sensor, the idle air control valve, Etc. Chances are you have EFI on your vehicle. If your engine is running rough or lacks power, try a complete tune up. New spark plugs/wires, new fuel filter, new air filter, oil and filter change, new oxygen sensors. Try running a bottle of injector cleaner and a bottle of water remover through the vehicle and see if it helps. Hope this helps.

Loss of power car ticks over ok

Had a similar problem before. Change the feul filter. This often fails due to sand in gas and limits gas being pumped into your turbo. If you change this and the cars runs fine, eventually you will have to change the feul pump. Do the feul filter first. It's cheap and easy.
