Ony title the the title reads year 1981 yamaha modle/body MS Iwhen I went to register it the register said somthing about xj 650 hs what does the xj and hs mean and can u tell me what my bike is the vin # 4H7113848THANK S FOR YOUR HELP

The xj, and hs, are just model tags. what you have is a yamaha maxim 650, great bike by the way.

The VIN number should be 17 characters and found on the frame....should start with JYA

Now count off from the left to the 10th character,,,,,,,
if its an A its a 1980 model, B is an 1981, C is a 1983.

the 4H7 in the VIN means its an XJ650H model made in 1980 & 1981, Look up XJ650 on the net for more info on your bike.

My turn signals don't work on my 1981 Yamaha XJ


 

 

I've used www.tradebit.com. It's not free, but extremely reasonable. I've gotten them as cheap as $4.99, and the most I've spent is $20. They have tons of manuals, worht a look to see if your's is available.Good luck!

Where is the turn signal flasher moduale located on my 1981 yahmaha 650 maxium


The flasher is located underneath the front of the fuel tank fust behind the horn. I hope this helps. I am looking for a wiring diagram for the 1981 Yamaha XJ 650.
